Hello there. Recently, I’ve noticed Harris sneaking about the neighborhood a few times — just the other day, he was lounging beneath a car out front. I was taking Marnie Mae for a stroll around the circle when she suddenly started barking like a wild thing at something. I bent down to see what was going on, and guess who was just a few feet away, relaxing like it was no big deal?
Correct, Harris, the local cat charmer (and, fun fact, Tabs’ previous counterpart).
By the way, I also saw him dash across the main road at the base of our hill (I think he was after a squirrel), and then again yesterday creeping through the dry grass, presumably on the hunt for something more.
This post is a tribute in honor of Harris. He’s still in the game. I reckon he’s around 10 now, still indulging in those mischievous male cat antics (stirring up trouble).
What is the deal with these obnoxious cat stalkers?! Every week, there’s a new one attempting to claim the common area, which really annoys me because that’s where Tabs enjoys doing his morning workout and tai chi.
Each time he heads out, there’s a different cat lurking around the employee parking lot, despite signs plastered everywhere reading, “No soliciting cats. STEP OFF!” and whenever Tabs decides to make his way back to the office, there’s always some feline intruder trying to sneak around the corner to make a move on him.
This is enough to unsettle any cat!
