This is how I envision my blogging journey. I want to adorn my home beautifully, and then have someone else capture and enhance those images. Is that too much to wish for? 🙂 I absolutely adore decorating for the holiday season, especially because of that warm and cozy atmosphere, you know? So, I just had to share it.
Step into my black and green Christmas workspace—better recognized as my new classroom. Trust me, it typically doesn’t appear like this. My office desk paired with the leather chair creates a fantastic match for the dark bookshelves.
This year, I kept the color scheme rather simple (surprise). These colors bring me immense joy, and I guess that’s their purpose, right? I stumbled upon the garland at a consignment shop for $12 a few years back. With a bit of ribbon added, it finishes the look perfectly!
I’m dubbing this the year of the candle. Apparently, they’re my new favorite, right? This console table is a joy to decorate as it instantly transforms the room’s appearance!
Here’s my view from the kitchen. Naturally, it’s while I’m baking cookies! Haha! People frequently inquire about this mirror (similar) and the rug! I adore both!
Since I’ve been spending more time at home (thank you, virtual teaching), I had some extra time to set up another Christmas tree. I placed this flocked tree in my bedroom, and I might just leave it up permanently! (Just kidding.)
The ornaments were all on clearance from Kirkland’s last year, while the tree was bought at At Home. I’m in love with the color combination!
I’m pretty sure this is my all-time favorite tree…and only my husband and I get to see it. Go figure. 😉 I still have a few more areas to share, but these are our primary spaces. I hope you liked the tour! If you want to see more stunning spaces, please check out my friends’ homes too!

The 2020 holiday season was unlike any other in recent memory as the world dealt with the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. ## A Time of Adaptation and Creativity
The 2020 Christmas Tour season was characterized by ingenuity and perseverance as performers and event organizers adjusted to the realities of a socially distanced environment. With traditional large-scale concerts, theater productions, and live gatherings limited or canceled for health and safety reasons, the entertainment sector turned to virtual platforms, outdoor venues, and hybrid models to keep the holiday spirit vibrant.
### Virtual Performances
One of the most significant transformations of the 2020 Christmas Tour was the widespread adoption of virtual performances. Artists and production companies utilized livestreaming technology to reach audiences safely from their homes. Platforms such as YouTube, Facebook Live, and Zoom became the new venues for holiday concerts, caroling festivities, and theatrical showcases.
For instance, the renowned Trans-Siberian Orchestra, famous for its electrifying Christmas rock operas, shifted to a virtual concert format in 2020. Fans enjoyed the band’s distinctive mix of music and storytelling through a professionally produced livestream event, complete with stunning visuals and special effects.
Similarly, numerous local choirs and orchestras conducted virtual holiday performances, allowing communities to unite online to celebrate the season. These digital gatherings often featured interactive components, such as live chats and Q&A sessions with performers, enhancing audience involvement.
### Drive-In and Outdoor Gatherings
In addition to virtual performances, drive-in and outdoor gatherings emerged as favored substitutes for the 2020 Christmas Tour. These events allowed audiences to experience live entertainment while adhering to social distancing protocols. Drive-in concerts, where attendees enjoyed performances from the comfort of their cars, became increasingly popular throughout the holiday season.
A notable example was the “Christmas Under the Stars” series, which hosted outdoor performances by various artists in picturesque, open-air locations. These events created a secure and festive environment for families to revel in live music and holiday-themed entertainment.
