"How to Craft Ornamental Candle Containers"

The bar’s decor is progressing nicely, and I’m enjoying discovering imaginative methods to exhibit our cherished items! Two favorites of ours: Proper Twelve Irish Whiskey (for him) and candles (for me). So, I literally combined the two and created some candle bottle decor that I adore.

Supplies for melted candles:

Whatever steps you take, ensure you place aluminum foil beneath the bottles. Let’s just say I might have acquired this knowledge through experience.

I chanced upon this candle box at At Home. Candles between 10-12 inches will do the trick. To insert the candles into the bottles, warm the bottom of the candle with a lighter. After a few seconds, lower it into the bottle and gently twist while pressing down. You’ll notice it pushes the candle in, allowing you to position it straight.

Here’s where the challenge arises. Today’s taper candles are designed so they don’t drip everywhere. Hats off to modern candle makers. Appreciate the improvements, yet they’ve complicated things. 🙁

There are various methods to encourage the wax to drip down the side. Essentially, you’ll need to create a pathway for the wax to descend. After some experimentation, I discovered that lighting another candle to carve out that channel worked effectively, using wax from the candle I held at the same time.

Don’t fret if my explanation was unclear. Basically, you just need to assist the candles in getting the wax to drip. Utilizing a lighter or another candle is the optimal approach. Melt it until you achieve your desired look, and you’re set!

I’m absolutely thrilled with how they turned out! It’s precisely the rugged candle bottle decor I required for my shelves. I can’t wait to share more of the bar area with you! Remember, I frequently update my Instagram, so feel free to follow me there!
