At last! A week filled with sunshine. 🌞
This is an amazing season in the Bay Area. While it still has a hint of winter, we typically experience a few weeks in late February that are incredibly wonderful. Bright and crisp with temperatures reaching the upper 60s to low 70s.
We’ve had more precipitation than average (the new average) for three consecutive years, including this one, which is strange considering we endured a decade-long drought!
I realize it’s just temporary, but for three years the weather has felt oddly historic. Trees are thriving again, the streams and rivers are flowing — it’s surreal!
This is the season when one of my tabby’s favorite flowers begins to blossom. Tulips! He adored almost everything about them. (“Almost” since he was not fond of their toxicity.)
Rosie enjoys this season as well.
It’s neither quite spring nor the depths of winter. During unusually warm weeks like this one, the grass begins to grow, oak trees start to bloom, squirrels are…squirreling around, and butterflies and birds are soaring through the air.
There’s a lot going on!
Marnie doesn’t hold a strong opinion about it one way or the other…
Sure, she enjoys her long walks outside, but she’s also perfectly content using her treadmill.
She isn’t very particular about her workout routines. 😆
