1. What do you love most about rainy days?
Hmm, for me it’s a combination of things, one of which is the fresh scent of the air following a rain shower. Also, I used to enjoy splashing in puddles with baby Connor. Fun fact, can you believe she’s nearly 10? Anyway, nowadays, I think the best aspect of rainy days is that the likelihood of wildfires decreases, which brings great mental comfort.
2. Where is your joyful escape?
At Lanikai beach in the morning on Oahu. Or snuggled in bed at night, knowing that all my loved ones are under the same roof. 🙂
3. Are you able to mimic any accents?
Well, I’m quite confident that I’ve mastered the “Angry Filipino Mom Speaking American English Combined with Random Tagalog Phrases”! HAHAHA! I also used to perform a very goofy British accent but haven’t tried it in ages. Oh, and I can pull off a California surfer accent pretty well!
4. What’s a quirky little habit of yours?
I always seem to overpack snacks in my work lunchbox. I’m not really sure why. We have excellent vending machines on campus, and there’s always surplus food in the break room, so I definitely have access to snacks. For some reason, though, I feel much more at ease knowing that I have a selection of relatively healthy snacks I enjoy. Plus, if someone nearby has a rumbling stomach, I like being prepared to share some food.
5. Is there a beauty item that you urgently need to purchase?
I’m almost out of conditioner. When you have long, wavy hair, that’s a very anxiety-inducing situation!
