Golden Oasis Couture Face Palette
The Golden Oasis Couture Face Palette is housed in a breathtaking limited-edition mirrored compact featuring six cheek colors. Among these, three are shimmery highlighters, and three are blushes comprised of two shimmers and one matte. In my opinion, the YSL Make Me Blush formula stands out among recent blush launches due to its soft, blendable texture and beautiful colors. Original review here. Some of the shades bear a striking resemblance to a few individual shades I have. The peachy shimmer is like Restless Rose, while the rose pink shimmer closely resembles Nude Lavalliere.
This palette includes a soft peachy gold shimmer, pale gold shimmer, soft iridescent pink sparkle, rose shimmer blush, deep magenta matte blush, and warm copper gold shimmer.
The highlighters are quite shimmery, so if high shimmer shades aren’t your preference, I suggest choosing a different face palette.
I really adore this one. I believe it truly has everything you need for a festive look, and I appreciate that the shimmers can also be used on the eyes.
New Holiday Lip Colors
Introducing two new shades of the Loveshine Plumping Lip Oil Gloss in 100 Sparkling Dream and 12 Honey Moon. I tested these earlier this year and posted a review here. I’m a fan of the colors and shine, but the plumping effect is intense, with a tingle and sting that feels overwhelming for me. Despite this, I decided to give them another shot since the shades are SO beautiful; however, I still find them uncomfortable to wear alone. I’ve found that layering them over a lipstick makes the gloss more tolerable to wear, as the lipstick acts as a buffer. All shades swatched in this video here.
As a Candy Glaze enthusiast, I was extremely excited to see new shades in this particular formula (original review here). 21 Shimmer Nude is a lovely pale opalescent champagne beige shade but appears quite light on my skin tone. 22 Shimmer Rose is an absolute MUST-HAVE, in my view. It’s a gorgeous soft rose pink hue. Though it’s currently sold out online, I highly suggest opting for the Buy Online Pick Up In Store option – it’s an excellent way to reserve products online and collect them when it’s convenient for you. I also utilize it to check inventory at my local store before making the trip. By popular demand, I’ve drawn a few comparisons to other rose tones and Candy Glaze shades. I particularly adore the Dior Addict Lip Maximizer in 083 Sparkling Rose, which is a slightly warmer alternative to YSL 22 Shimmer Rose (but in gloss form).
Overall, I love all the colors in this collection. While I still can’t wear those plumping lip glosses comfortably, the colors are breathtaking. If you decide to pick up one item from this launch, I firmly believe that Candy Glaze 22 is the standout.
