Beginning in 1997, Women in Networking (WIN) Cleveland has committed itself to a singular purpose: aiding local women in forming connections, gaining knowledge, and achieving success. Established by Barbara Baxter, who envisioned a community where women could be acknowledged, valued, and understood—a platform for personal and communal growth—WIN upholds that vision today by offering avenues for professional development, personal relationships, and support within the community.
Through regular networking gatherings, the WIN Cleveland Business Major Scholarship, and alliances with local women-focused organizations, WIN empowers women throughout Northeast Ohio.
This year, led by President Michelle Ryb, WIN takes pride in collaborating with its 2025 In-Kind Charity recipient, Connecting for Kids, a nonprofit that offers resources, assistance, and community to families with concerns regarding their children. Their initiatives aid families dealing with mental health issues, developmental challenges, and significant life transitions.
WIN also nurtures the upcoming generation of women leaders via the WIN Cleveland Business Major Scholarship given to female students at Ursuline College in their junior, senior, or graduate-level business programs. In 2024, thanks to the generosity of WIN members and sponsors, $6,000 in scholarships were distributed.
The crowning event of the year is WIN’s Annual Fundraising Luncheon, which unites the community in gratitude and support. This year’s luncheon is scheduled for Friday, December 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Bellavie by Marigold Catering, 700 Beta Drive. Attendees can look forward to an uplifting keynote speaker, raffle baskets, and ample opportunity to network with other professionals.
