An Evaluation of Leading Beauty Items for January

Here’s my roundup of beauty favorites for January!

The Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in its new formulation has been a winner for me! Full review here and demo here. I’ve been reaching for it frequently and absolutely adore the coverage and naturally radiant finish. This has been the formula I’ve used the most this month.

I think it’s time for an updated skincare routine since it’s been a while since my last one, but I wanted to highlight a few favorites from the past month.

I’ve been using the LED masks more regularly and absolutely love the one from Currentbody. I still have the original version but recently upgraded to the Mask Series 2, which fits the contours of the face better. They’ve also added a couple of new versions with different light settings that have piqued my curiosity, but for now, I’m really enjoying the Mask Series 2. Use code BEAUTYLB for 10% off.

La Mer is quite a splurge, but my skin texture has greatly improved after using the Regenerating Serum. I’ve been using this for nearly two months, and it has significantly helped with fine lines and my skin’s lackluster appearance. I’ve also used The Renewal Oil and Moisturizing Soft Cream several times and recently repurchased them during the holidays. My wallet isn’t pleased, but regardless of what I try, I keep returning to these two favorites. The oil is my top pick, and I love blending it with other face creams.

Dior Beauty has captured my heart with its new releases! Earlier this year, I visited my local Dior Beauty boutique and picked up the new Addict Perfumes, fresh lip oils, and Forever Skin Bronzing Balm Sticks. I haven’t done a review yet but plan to soon. By now, I’ve nearly used an entire bottle of the Dior Addict Rosy Glow Eau de Parfum (a sweet floral scent) and bought a second bottle. The new Forever Skin Bronzing Balm Sticks are fantastic (with Shade 03 shown). I prefer them over the Contour Sticks. The new Bronzing Balm Sticks are more sheer, and the colors match my skin tone better for a natural look.

The Hourglass Cosmetics Curator Palettes have received mixed opinions. I believe there are some hits and misses among them. They’re excellent if you desire a more natural eye look or don’t frequently use eyeshadow because the combinations are perfect for an effortless appearance. Some of the palettes appear too natural for my taste, which is why I skip a few of them. However, I’ve rediscovered Futurist, a stunning palette that I’ve been reaching for frequently. You can see it in action in this reel here if you’re interested.

Many of you adore Sarah Creal’s products, and I’ve fallen for them too. Her makeup has been a staple for me, especially her No Further Questions Glosses and Eyes Up Creamy Kajal Longwear Eyeliners. So many of you have praised her eyeliners, and I wholeheartedly agree they deserve a 10/10! They glide on smoothly without tugging, and I love the pigmentation. I didn’t expect to adore the Today’s Highlights Balm Luminizer as much as I do. I think these provide the ideal amount of pigment and glow for me. I enjoy blending them on top of cream or powder blushes whenever I feel the blush is too vibrant. This gives my cheeks a lovely glow.

Tatcha used to be one of my favorite skincare brands, but with so many new launches and skincare tests, I kind of lost track. Recently, I rediscovered a few items thanks to your recommendations and love the Rice Enzyme Powder for gentle exfoliation. I also adore the Kissu Lip Mask for battling dryness in these winter months. I tried the Kissu Lip Serum and must say that while I enjoy the packaging and applicator, the Lip Mask offers much better hydration (at least for me).

Regarding fragrance, besides the Dior, I’ve become obsessed with Creed Pure White Cologne. It has a fresh, clean scent that features Grapefruit, Petit Grain, Bigarade, Jasmine, Orris Butter, Watermelon, White Musk, Ambroxan, and Cedarwood. This is the priciest perfume I’ve ever bought, but it boasts the best clean, fresh scent I’ve encountered and happens to be Andrew’s favorite scent on me. I find it refreshing, unique, and it brightens my mood. I really love the Refillable Atomizers (also here) to fill with my favorite fragrances and carry in my bag. They make lovely gifts too.

Though not beauty-related, I receive daily inquiries about my jewelry! I’ve saved all the details on what I wear in my JEWELRY highlights, let me know if you want an updated jewelry tour! My wedding band and tiny T Wire Diamond Ring are also from Tiffany. The ring on my index finger is from Mejuri.

My link bracelet is an older style from Tiffany & Co. They no longer produce this specific style, but it remains one of my favorite gifts from Andrew, and I’ve had it for over 10 years.

The tennis bracelet was a splurge last year from James Allen, and I adore it! Some of you may remember from my Instagram stories that I had been searching for one for over a year. My wrists are quite small, so most options I found online had to be custom made, leading to longer creation and shipping times. I intended to visit several jewelers in NYC, but given all the other enjoyable activities in New York, I never got to those shops.

After reading numerous reviews, I chose James Allen last July, and I’m 100% delighted with this purchase. I also own some earrings from them that I really like. My bracelet is a lab diamond tennis bracelet measuring 6 inches in length, 5 carats with 14K Yellow Gold. I managed to purchase it using a good promo code, making the price very reasonable. I loved that it came in a 6-inch length (my wrist is 5.5 inches), so resizing wasn’t necessary. It took a bit over 30 days to create and ship it. The clasp is very sturdy and a little tricky to put on and take off by myself, but I believe it was absolutely worth the indulgence. If I had tried it on in person, I might have opted for a larger carat size, but this is a wonderful size to begin with.

That concludes my favorites for this month! I’m exploring new concealer formulas. You can see the demo of Chanel Ultra Le Teint in BD31 and B40 here (this is the first Chanel concealer formula I’ve genuinely liked) and a demo of Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Concealer in 6.5, 7, and 7.5 here. I’ll share a roundup of products from Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury, RMS, Victoria Beckham Beauty, and Prada as soon as possible!

What did you enjoy this past month?
