Great question! It’s not, despite its title, an actual poll with clickable buttons. It’s merely a collection of mostly random queries I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for what feels like an eternity (since 2007).

I have a huge affection for the semicolon; the em dash has also captured my heart.

Seriously, how did an entire decade slip by since Connor was born? Time is such a wild journey, man.
3. What sounds are surrounding you at this very moment?
Kiddos laughing (with excitement), Marnie Mae barking and pursuing the aforementioned laughing children, and the beeping noises of laser tag toys.
4. Did any of your pets wreak havoc on your holiday decor?
Ugh, these two furry kids decided this would be the year to cause chaos. Rosie chewed on the tips of some pine branches. Marnie Mae took charge of demolishing all the ornaments located on the bottom of the tree.
5. A book that impacted you this year?
There were many, but one that stands out is a graphic novel Connor lent me called “Smile” by Raina Telgemeier. I grew up in the Bay Area during the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, and the narrative resonates with that period in time.
