What’s your plan for this weekend? My mom’s coming over, and Toby has his 16th birthday bash! (This tune’s stuck in my head.) Wishing you a great one, and here are some interesting links from around the internet…

In need of a vacation wardrobe update? I suggest a shirt dress and linen pants. Also loving these swimwear hues.
Got it right.
Are you following The Other Bennet Sister? The trailer seemed a bit silly, but I’m really enjoying the show. She’s so endearing.
Believe the buzz about the WNBA. “The feeling at Barclays Center when the New York Liberty hit the court is akin to a roller coaster ride.” ABSOLUTELY!!!!! (NYMag)

Isn’t this green kitchen cheerful?
Sweetheart, I’m sorry for ruining our moment on the kiss cam. “I’m sorry I mouthed ‘That’s my sister!’ and made a face like yuck while jerking my thumb at you, my beloved wife of 31 years.”

Didn’t realize how uncomfortable my bras were till I tried this one.

Sage words.
Plus, four reader comments:
Says Jaci on 11 readers on cousins: “When my dear cousins and I started having our own children, we invented the term ‘supercousin’ to help the next generation bond. Over time, the term provided great scalability. With blended families, when kids from previous relationships joined, ‘supercousin’ offered an easy way to express connection without complex labels. It’s a kinship category that favors belonging over strict genealogy. We create culture, we don’t just inherit it — so, go gather up your supercousins!”
Says Ann on 11 readers on cousins: “I taught public preschool for 30 years. Twin siblings never caused issues, but twice I had cousins in my class and wow! I remember telling my colleagues, ‘Cousins are a blast! Even I don’t behave with my cousins! WHY would anyone enroll them in the same class?!’ It was a hilariously fun challenge.”
Says Tracey on a Brooklyn bar mitzvah: “Teen boys make me emotional these days. I know there are some damaging documentaries, but locally, I see fantastic large groups of boys with fishing rods on bikes. Lacking around, all limbs, bantering about who has the best lures. I observe a group of 20-year-olds eagerly engaging with an older man at a garage sale. I see them code-switch into ‘ma’am’ respect when I speak to them. Once, in the ocean, a teen boy saw me bristling at the biting cold water and shouted, ‘You can do it!! Let’s count her in!’ and they did. ‘Three, two, one…’ and then, from underwater, I heard the cheer.”
Says Julie on have a sweet weekend: “I am entirely in awe of my 12-year-old daughter. She is a magnificent weather event, a swirling miracle of toy horses, unapologetic love, freely expressed hatred, lipstick, Nikes, Crocs, puppies, braces, chocolate, sushi, jokes, tears, and hope. I adore her immensely.”
