I was particularly keen on exploring the beauty exclusives and sunglasses. I posted a brief review of what caught my eye in-store in this Instagram Reel here.
The Beauty Exclusives seemed to primarily feature value sets or larger sizes. While I already possess many of the shades included in this year’s sets, a few standout items are definitely worth investigating. There are excellent discounts available, especially on fragrance sets! And if you’re shopping for beauty, be sure to check out the GIFTS WITH PURCHASE. Many of these will vary, with some being online exclusive.
Sunglasses
I always anticipate the sunglasses they offer each sale. I tried on the Celine Bold Three Dots 51 mm style but preferred these 55 mm frames that I already own. There were numerous fantastic Tom Ford sunglasses on sale that were truly enjoyable. These oversized butterfly styles were adorable but resembled ones I purchased last year. I ended up choosing these oval frames in a lighter hue for a bit of fun.
Beauty Exclusives – Makeup
There is an abundance of fantastic value sets featuring best-selling makeup. If you had something in mind, there are some really great savings this year. Chanel Beauty has a 3-piece set, but since I already own the lipstick and have plenty of cleansers, I decided to skip it.
Armani Beauty offers some stellar sets if you’re looking to save on their liquid eyeshadows or blushes. The Cheek Tint Liquid Blush Duo ($53) features two of their popular pinks, while the Effortless Eyes Set ($62) has a shimmering champagne, a matte tan brown, and a mini mascara.
Bobbi Brown consistently presents beautiful sets that I think are perfect for those wanting a classic, effortless appearance for either eyes or lips. I picked up the Eye Enhancer Eyeshadow Palette + Liner Set ($55) because I find the colors truly lovely.
The Hourglass Brush Trio Set ($146 on sale, $220 value) is back! It sold out quickly last year, and I’m delighted to see it return. Additionally, the Veil Translucent Setting Powder + Brush Set ($80 on sale) is also a pretty solid value.
MAC consistently features excellent lip sets. This year, the colors appear to be primarily repeats in the Satin Soft Lip Combo Kit ($33 on sale, $50 value). The combos include Crème in Your Coffee + Whirl and Crème Cup + Cork.
They also offer another neutrals set called the Glossy Comfort Lip Combo Kit ($33 on sale, $50 value) featuring Casual Lipglass Air and Velvet Teddy Lip Liner. Plus, there’s a Night Nude Look in a Box Collection ($60 on sale, $105 value). I picked up the mini Pocket Plushies Brush Kit ($60), which I find incredibly cute.
Westman Atelier has some stunning sets! All the shades are permanent, but I particularly adore the Lip Edition Set ($79 on sale, $122 value). It includes 3 full sizes: Rose Lip Suede Matte Lipstick, Chou Chou Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balm, and Je Reve Lip Shape Lip Liner. I really appreciate the combination, and you can see each shade showcased here. They also have a Petite Baby Cheeks Lit Up Duo ($35 on sale, $52 value) featuring Nectar and Petal.
YSL Beauty has several impressive sets, all with permanent shades. I believe the Make Me Blush + Loveshine Set ($60 on sale) featuring Nude Lavalliere Blush + Loveshine is a classic combo that you can’t go wrong with. Personally, I adore the Brown Look Eyeshadow Set ($81 on sale) as the 710 Over Brun Palette is one of their finest quads.
If you appreciate lip plumpers, the Loveshine Plumping Lip Oil ($53 on sale, $80 value) comes with two ideal pinks. I found this formula a bit too potent for my lips, but I have included swatches from a previous review below. This set contains Lucky Moonstone and Nude Lavalliere.
Tom Ford Beauty always presents lovely fragrance sets, but the Runway Lip Duo Gift Set ($85 on sale, $124 value) includes two of my favorite shades: Sable Smoke and Slip.
Beauty Exclusives – Fragrance + Body
I think the Nordstrom Sale is a dream come true for perfume lovers with its value sets. The Le Labo Discovery Fragrance Set ($210) was on my wish list, and it was the first item I grabbed in store. It features miniatures of five scents, each with a spritzer atomizer, which I think is adorable. I already love Another 13, but it’s been a while since I’ve tried any others, so I believe this is ideal for me.
I appreciate Le Labo’s Shower Gels and Hand Soaps, which typically come in jumbo sizes during the sale, so I picked up the Hinoki Shower Gel ($55) and might order a hand soap before the sale concludes.
The L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil Set ($62 on sale, $95 value) was another must-have for me. Andrew enjoys this one, so I was glad to stock up since we go through plenty of bottles.
Parfums de Marly Signature Trio ($515 on sale, $765 value) is an excellent set. I cherish all the scents included, and if I didn’t already have them, I would have unquestionably purchased this set. Several of you inquired whether I favor Valaya or Valaya Exclusif. I think both are beautiful, but I lean towards the exclusif version due to its softer and less sharp nature compared to the original. If you adore Delina, there’s a Delina + Exclusif Duo ($455 on sale, $675 value).
Byredo and Maison Francis Kurkdjian also showcase wonderful sets during the sale, although they frequently have these during the holidays. I genuinely enjoy the appearance of the Discovery Fragrance Trio ($475) as it includes Baccarat Rouge 540, Kurky (which I love), and Grand Soir (I haven’t tried it but have heard fantastic things). If this is slightly beyond your budget for a discovery set, they also provide smaller vials in the My Wardrobe Set ($230).
Beauty Exclusives – Skincare
I purchased the La Mer Most Loved Minis Set ($98) for skincare because I adore these for weekend trips. I have quite a few items that I’m currently using, so I didn’t acquire any additional sets. I do believe many of these value sets will return for the holiday season as well. Augustinus Bader is another favorite of mine, and they have The Cream and The Rich Cream available at discounted prices for the sale along with some other sets.
Misc
This year, I passed on the shoes and clothing. I had many items on my list, but after trying them on in-store, I decided to hold off for now. They always offer a fantastic selection of Barefoot Dreams, which I adore, but I chose to wait this time. I do have my eye on the CozyChic Ribbed Cardigan—it appears perfect for winter! I was really surprised to see Away Luggage at Nordstrom! They feature several items on sale in limited-edition colors, including the Featherweight Weekend Bag, Mini Crossbody, and several sizes of Suitcases.
