Summarizing my beauty favorites from January!
Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in its revamped formula has worked wonders for me! You can find my full review here and a demo here as well. I’ve been using it frequently and adore the coverage along with the naturally luminous finish. This has been the formulation I’ve utilized the most this month.
I believe it’s time for an updated skincare routine since it’s been a bit, but I wanted to share a few highlights from the past month.
I’ve been more dedicated to using the LED masks and truly enjoy the one from Currentbody. I still have the original but recently upgraded to the Mask Series 2, which fits the curves of my face better. They have since introduced a couple of newer versions with different lights that intrigue me, but thus far, I’ve really enjoyed the Mask Series 2. You can use code BEAUTYLB for a 10% discount.
La Mer is certainly a treat, but I’ve seen significant improvements in my skin texture since incorporating the Regenerating Serum. I’ve been using it for nearly two months, and it has truly helped with fine lines and has brightened my complexion. I’ve also finished The Renewal Oil and Moisturizing Soft Cream multiple times and recently repurchased them over the holidays. My budget isn’t thrilled, but regardless of what I try, I keep coming back to these two. The oil is my favorite, and I enjoy blending it with other face creams.
Dior Beauty has completely captured my heart with their new releases! I visited my local Dior Beauty boutique earlier this year and picked up the new Addict Perfumes, lip oils, and Forever Skin Bronzing Balm Sticks. I haven’t reviewed them yet, but I will soon. By this point, I’ve nearly finished an entire bottle of the Dior Addict Rosy Glow Eau de Parfum (a sweet floral) and I’ve already bought a second. The new Forever Skin Bronzing Balm Sticks are exceptional (Shade 03 is shown). I prefer them over the Contour Sticks; the new Bronzing Balm Sticks are sheerer and the shades suit my skin tone better, giving a more natural appearance.
The Hourglass Cosmetics Curator Palettes received mixed feedback. I think there are both hits and misses. They are fantastic for those wanting a more natural eye look or who don’t use eyeshadow often since the combinations are perfect for an effortless appearance. Some of them appear a little too natural, which is why I skip a few. However, I revisited Futurist, which is a beautiful palette I’ve been reaching for a lot. You can see it in action in this reel here if you’re interested.
Many of you adore Sarah Creal, and I’ve also grown fond of her products. Her makeup has been in heavy rotation for me, particularly her No Further Questions Glosses and Eyes Up Creamy Kajal Longwear Eyeliners. Many of you have praised her eyeliners, and I agree they are a perfect 10! They apply seamlessly without tugging, and I love the pigment. I didn’t anticipate loving the Today’s Highlights Balm Luminizer as much as I do. I think they provide the ideal amount of pigment and glow for my taste. I prefer to blend them over a cream or powder blush whenever the blush color feels too intense to achieve that lovely sheen on my cheeks.
Tatcha was once one of my go-to skincare brands, but with their recent launches and testing, they faded from my attention. I recently rediscovered some products thanks to your recommendations and adore the Rice Enzyme Powder for gentle exfoliation. I also cherish the Kissu Lip Mask during these dry winter months. I tried the Kissu Lip Serum and must say, while I appreciate the packaging and applicator, the Lip Mask offers a million times better hydration (at least for me).
As for fragrance, aside from Dior, I’ve been enamored with Creed Pure White Cologne. It’s a fresh, clean scent featuring Grapefruit, Petit Grain, Bigarade, Jasmine, Orris Butter, Watermelon, White Musk, Ambroxan, and Cedarwood. This is the most expensive perfume I’ve ever bought, but it’s the finest fresh scent I’ve encountered, which also happens to be Andrew’s favorite fragrance on me. I find it refreshing, unique, and it brings me immense joy. I absolutely love the Refillable Atomizers (also here) for topping up my go-to scents and carrying them in my bag. These also make exquisite gifts.
While not beauty-related, I receive questions about my jewelry almost every day! I’ve saved the details of everything I wear to my JEWELRY highlights; let me know if you’d like an updated jewelry tour! My wedding band and tiny T Wire Diamond Ring are also from Tiffany. The ring on my index finger is from Mejuri.
My link bracelet is an older style from Tiffany & Co. They don’t manufacture this particular design anymore, but it’s one of my favorite gifts from Andrew, and I believe I’ve owned it for over ten years.
The tennis bracelet was a splurge last year from James Allen, and I adore it! Some of you may recall from my Instagram stories that I had been searching for one for a year. My wrists are quite small, so most options I’ve found online needed custom sizing, which means extended creation and shipping times. I intended to visit a few jewelers in NYC, but given all the other exciting activities to do in New York, I didn’t make it to those stores.
After reading numerous reviews, I opted for James Allen last July, and I’m 100% delighted with this purchase. I also own some earrings from them, which I absolutely love. My bracelet is a lab diamond tennis bracelet in the 6-inch length, 5 carats, set in 14K Yellow Gold. I managed to buy this at a reasonable price using a good promo code. I loved that it came in the 6-inch length (my wrist is 5.5 inches), so I didn’t have to resize it. It took a little over 30 days for them to manufacture and ship it. The clasp is extremely sturdy, and it’s a bit challenging to put on and take off by myself, but I believe it was worth every penny. Had I been able to try it on in person, I might have chosen a larger carat option, but I think this size is a great starting point.
That concludes my favorites for this month! I’m currently exploring new concealer formulas. You can see the demo of Chanel Ultra Le Teint in BD31 and B40 here (this is the first Chanel concealer formula I’ve actually enjoyed), along with a demo of Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Concealer in shades 6.5, 7, and 7.5 here. I’ll compile a roundup of Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury, RMS, Victoria Beckham Beauty, and Prada as soon as possible!
