Alright, I understand. I rarely post. Stop shouting at me. Actually, please do shout at me! It’s time we get this blog moving again, right? Let’s kick things off with one of my favorite (and only) posts of the year—favorite items!!
If there’s one thing I truly enjoy, it’s shopping. Therefore, narrowing down my selections was more challenging than anticipated. Let me clarify—I ADORE every single item I’m presenting here. I take this post quite seriously. Ha!
Well, if that isn’t a mixed bag of goodies, I don’t know what is! Leggings! Highlighters! Toilet lever! Hold on, what? Let me clear that up…
Favorite Things 2021
- Gold Toilet Lever: Absolutely. It transformed my toilet experience! Wait. It transformed my toilet’s experience. That sounds better. Trust me on this one. It may seem insignificant, yet it’s a game-changer for a compact bathroom, especially.
- Gold Initial Necklace: To be fair, some of these are my daughter’s top choices, so I thought it fitting to include them. Just so you know, I’m a high school educator, and all the girls are sporting these necklaces. They’re stunning, right?
- Countertop Ice Machine: We have a fully-equipped basement bar, but we were missing the ice needed for entertaining guests. This ice maker has a very compact design, operates quietly, and generates all the ice we could want! AND I’m thrilled with the price!
- Smart Phone Tripod: I absolutely love this gadget! It’s a lifesaver when we aim to capture group photos!
- Tinkle Razors: I’m so fond of these that I hand them out to my friends like they’re candy! They remove that pesky fuzz from your face! Sounds terrible, but trust me. Your makeup glides on better, your moisturizer absorbs nicely, and I’ve noticed my tanning bronzer applies more evenly too!
- Leggings: This is yet another one of my daughter’s preferences. I felt like they kept popping up in my Amazon cart, so I had to double-check. She owns FIVE pairs of these! They come in the loveliest shades, which is understandable.
- Greeting Card Organizer: I raved about this over on Instagram, and I’m definitely suggesting you grab one. If you’re a last-minute person like me, this is incredibly useful! Running late to a graduation celebration? Just grab it and go! Thank you, little card organizer.
- Slimming Swimsuit: Look, I’m no fashion influencer. But when this body slipped into that swimsuit, I received a barrage of compliments. It’s especially flattering on me when I keep that body submerged. 🙂 Seriously though—very attractive!
- Makeup Mirror: Another favorite of my Little Miss. She got this for her dimly-lit dorm room, and she can’t stop praising it. Her roommate also has one.
- Travel Jewelry Organizer: Fortune smiled upon me as I traveled a fair amount in my life, and I’ve developed a keen eye for what works and what doesn’t. This item is fantastic! I don’t wear much jewelry, so I previously thought I didn’t need it. Uh, turns out I was mistaken.
- Family Passport Wallet: On the subject of travel… I can’t fathom how I lived without this gem! Anyone who has traveled internationally with kids will certainly agree, “Amen! This thing’s a game-changer!” and they’re absolutely correct.
- Hair Claw Clips: Raise your hand if you have fine, slippery hair. *Raises hand.* NOTHING stays put in my hair, and it’s incredibly annoying! My daughter picked these up, and witnessing their effectiveness, I quickly nabbed a few. Total score!
- Pastel Highlighters: Oh my goodness. Where were these during my high school days?! These highlighters are the most helpful tool I’ve bought for school/work/life in YEARS. I adore them and use them every. single. day.
If you made it through that entire list, you’ve earned yourself a gold star! I’d bet hard money that my sister-in-law is the only one who actually read it. xoxo Ha!

FV 2018 was the year of Harry Styles (and every year since) and unveiling the best popcorn hack I’ve ever bought.
FV 2019 I posted two times (could be to compensate for “15 and ‘17?) and included the makeup setting spray I gift every Christmas and the daily moisturizer that’s also become my husband’s favorite!
And 2020 was about the Victoria Emerson watch band that garners compliments every. single. day and the collagen powder that prevented my hair from shedding! I’m being serious.
