Alright, I understand. I rarely post. Quit hounding me. Actually, please do hound me! We need to hit the road with this again, right? Let’s kick things off with one of my top (and sole) posts of the year–favorite things!!
If there’s one activity I truly enjoy, it’s shopping. Thus, curating my list turned out to be more challenging than anticipated. Just to clarify–I ADORE every single item I’m listing. I take this post quite seriously. Ha!
If that’s not a mixed bag of items, then I don’t know what is! Leggings! Highlighters! Toilet lever! Wait, what? Allow me to clarify…
Favorite Things 2021
- Gold Toilet Lever: Absolutely. It revolutionized my toilet experience! Hold on. It revolutionized my toilet’s experience. That’s more accurate. Trust me on this; it’s a tiny, yet significant enhancement, especially for narrower bathrooms.
- Gold Initial Necklace: To be honest, a couple of these are my daughter’s favorites, so I decided to feature them. For the record, I’m a high school teacher, and all the girls are sporting these necklaces. Aren’t they beautiful?
- Countertop Ice Machine: We have a fully equipped basement bar, but we were lacking the ice required to prepare drinks for guests. This ice machine is compact, super quiet, and produces all the ice we want! AND it’s reasonably priced!
- Smart Phone Tripod: I totally adore this gadget! It’s a lifesaver when we need to snap any kind of group photograph!
- Tinkle Razors: I love these so much, I give them to my friends like they’re candy! They easily remove that fuzzy hair from your face! Sounds ridiculous, but believe me. Your makeup applies better, your moisturizer glides on smoother, and I’ve noticed my bronzer works more effectively!
- Leggings: Another of my daughter’s beloved items. I felt like I kept spotting them in my Amazon cart, so I took a closer look. She owns FIVE pairs of these! They come in such gorgeous colors, so I don’t fault her.
- Greeting Card Organizer: I praised this over on Instagram, and I’m definitely telling you to get one. If you’re like me and tend to do things last minute, this is a lifesaver! Running out the door, late for a graduation event? Just grab and go! Thank you, little card box.
- Slimming Swimsuit: Look. I’m no fashion influencer. But when this body slipped into that suit, I received a flood of compliments. It looks especially flattering when I keep that body submerged. 🙂 Seriously though–absolutely lovely!
- Makeup Mirror: Another favorite of my Little Miss. She bought this for her dim dorm room, and she just raves about it. Her roommate has one too.
- Travel Jewelry Organizer: I’ve been lucky enough to travel frequently throughout my life, and I’ve developed a keen eye for what works and what doesn’t. This organizer is fantastic! I don’t wear much jewelry, so I never saw the need for this. Uh, I was mistaken.
- Family Passport Wallet: Speaking of travel… I can’t imagine how I managed without this! Anyone who has ever traveled internationally with kids is like “Amen! This is a game-changer!” and they are absolutely right.
- Hair Claw Clips: Raise your hand if you have fine, slippery hair. *Raises hand. NOTHING stays put in my hair, and it’s so aggravating! My daughter purchased these, and after seeing how well they worked, I quickly got a couple for myself. Score!
- Pastel Highlighters: Oh my goodness. Where were these when I was in high school?! These highlighters are the best tool for school/work/life I’ve bought in YEARS. I adore them and use them every. single. day.
<pIf you managed to read that entire section, you deserve a gold star! I’m betting my sister-in-law is the only one who actually finished it. xoxo Ha!
Want to discover more favorite things? Check this out!
Wow. I guess I’ve been sharing these for quite a while! I think I might be missing a few, but these favorites truly stand the test of time! Enjoy browsing!
Favorite Things 2014 was when I showcased the eyeshadow palette that transformed my makeup routine.
Favorite Things 2016 was the year I upgraded my camera and never looked back. It’s still my favorite gadget!
Who knows what happened to 2015 and 2017?
FV 2018 was the year of Harry Styles (and every year since) and the best popcorn hack I’ve ever discovered.
FV 2019 featured two posts (maybe to compensate for “15 and ’17?) and included the makeup setting spray that I gift every Christmas, along with the daily moisturizer that has become a favorite of my husband’s too!
And 2020 introduced the Victoria Emerson watch band that garners comments every. single. day and collagen powder that prevented my hair from thinning! I’m being honest.
Some of the most fantastic bloggers I know have also shared their favorite finds, and I anticipate it will be a hit on my wallet! My friend Sarah at Thrifty Decor Chick has been hosting this hop for years, and it’s one of my favorite traditions! (See what I did there?) Definitely check them all out!
