I understand. I rarely post. Please stop shouting at me. Actually, I welcome the shout! Let’s get this party started again, right? I’ll kick it off with one of my most cherished (and really only) posts of the year–my favorite things!!
One of my favorite pastimes is shopping. Hence, narrowing down my favorites was more challenging than anticipated. Just to clarify–I absolutely ADORE every item I’m about to share. This post is important to me. Haha!
If that isn’t an eclectic mix, then I don’t know what is! Leggings! Highlighters! Toilet lever! Hold on, what? Let me clarify…
Favorite Things 2021
- Gold Toilet Lever: Absolutely. It revolutionized my toilet experience! Wait. It revolutionized my toilet’s experience. That’s clearer. Trust me, this is a small yet significant change for a compact bathroom.
- Gold Initial Necklace: To be honest, a couple of these are my daughter’s picks, hence their inclusion. As a high school teacher, I notice all the girls rocking these necklaces. Aren’t they lovely?
- Countertop Ice Machine: We have a complete bar in our basement, but we were short on ice for our gatherings. This ice machine has a low profile, is super quiet, and creates all the ice we require! AND the price is fantastic!
- Smart Phone Tripod: This gadget is a lifesaver! It’s perfect for capturing group photos effortlessly!
- Tinkle Razors: I’m such a fan; I give these to my friends like they’re going out of style! They swiftly remove that unwanted fuzz from your face! It may sound dreadful, but trust me. Your makeup applies better, your moisturizer absorbs better, and I’ve found my tanning bronzer works wonders too!
- Leggings: This is another one on my daughter’s favorites list. I kept finding them in my Amazon cart, so I had to double-check. She owns FIVE pairs! They come in such beautiful colors, I can’t fault her.
- Greeting Card Organizer: I raved about this on Instagram, and I’m definitely recommending you get one. If like me, you’re a last-minute person, it’s invaluable! Running late for a graduation bash? Just grab it and go! Thanks, little card box.
- Slimming Swimsuit: Look. I’m no fashion guru. But when I slipped into this suit, compliments came rolling in. It’s particularly flattering when I keep said body submerged. 🙂 Seriously though–super pretty!
- Makeup Mirror: Another beloved item of Little Miss. She purchased this for her dimly-lit dorm room and can’t stop praising it. Her roommate has one too.
- Travel Jewelry Organizer: I’ve been lucky enough to travel a lot, developing a keen eye for what works. This thing is fantastic! I don’t wear much jewelry, so I never thought I needed it. Oh, was I mistaken.
- Family Passport Wallet: On the topic of travel… I can’t imagine how I survived without this! Anyone who’s traveled internationally with kids will know, “Amen! This is a game-changer!” and they are absolutely correct.
- Hair Claw Clips: Raise your hand if you have fine, slippery hair. *Raises hand. Nothing stays put in my hair, which is so irritating! My daughter bought these, and after seeing how effective they were, I quickly grabbed a couple. Score!
- Pastel Highlighters: Oh my goodness. Where were these when I was in school?! These highlighters are the best tools for school/work/life I’ve acquired in YEARS. I adore them and use them every. single. day.
If you made it to the end of that, you get a gold star! I bet my sister-in-law is the only one who actually read it. xoxo Haha!

<pWow. I guess I’ve been doing these for a while! I think I might have missed a few, but these favorites never go out of style! Enjoy browsing!
Favorite Things 2014 was the year I introduced the eyeshadow palette that transformed my makeup routine.
Favorite Things 2016 saw me upgrade my camera, and I’ve never looked back. It’s still my prized possession!
Who knows what happened to 2015 and 2017?
FV 2018 was marked by Harry Styles (and every year thereafter) and the absolute best popcorn hack I’ve ever discovered.
For FV 2019, I posted twice (must’ve been an attempt to make up for “15 and ’17?) and featured the makeup setting spray I gift every Christmas and the daily moisturizer that my husband loves too!
And in 2020, I highlighted the Victoria Emerson watch band that receives comments every. single. day and the collagen powder that prevented my hair from falling out! I’m not kidding.
Some top bloggers I admire have also shared their favorite finds, and I can already foresee a hit to my budget! My friend Sarah at Thrifty Decor Chick has hosted this event for years, and it’s one of my favorite things! (See what I did there?) Do check them all out!
