Alright, I understand. I seldom post. Quit scolding me. Actually, do feel free to scold me! We need to get this party started again, right? Let’s kick it off with one of my all-time (and only) posts of the year – favorite things!!
If there’s something I truly enjoy, it’s shopping. Thus, trimming down my list was more challenging than anticipated. Just to clarify – I ABSOLUTELY adore each item I’m sharing. I take this post quite earnestly. Ha!
Well, if that isn’t a mixed bag of items, I don’t know what is! Leggings! Highlighters! Toilet lever! Wait, what? Let me clarify…
Favorite Things 2021
- Gold Toilet Lever: Absolutely. It transformed my toilet experience! Wait. It transformed my toilet’s experience. That makes more sense. Trust me on this! It’s such a little yet significant change for a small bathroom in particular.
- Gold Initial Necklace: To be honest, a few of these are my daughter’s beloveds, hence why I included them. For what it’s worth, I’m a high school educator, and all the girls are sporting these necklaces. So beautiful, right?
- Countertop Ice Machine: We own a full bar in our basement, but we were short on ice for serving drinks. This ice machine has such a low profile, it’s incredibly quiet, and it produces all the ice we require! AND I love the cost!
- Smart Phone Tripod: Man, I adore this item! It’s perfect for capturing any sort of group picture!
- Tinkle Razors: I adore these so much, I distribute them to my friends like candy! They remove that unwanted fuzz right off your face! Sounds dreadful, but believe me. Your makeup goes on nicer, your moisturizer spreads more evenly, and I find my tanning bronzer performs better too!
- Leggings: Another one of my daughter’s favorites. I felt like I kept noticing them in my Amazon cart, so I double-checked. She has FIVE pairs of these! They come in the loveliest colors, so I can’t fault her.
- Greeting Card Organizer: I raved about this on Instagram, and I’m certainly recommending you get one. If you’re a last-minute person like I am, this is extremely useful! Late for a graduation party? Grab and go! Thank you, little card box.
- Slimming Swimsuit: Look. I’m no style blogger. But when this body slipped into that suit, I got so many compliments. It’s especially flattering on me when I keep said body submerged. 🙂 Honestly though – very lovely!
- Makeup Mirror: Another favorite of Little Miss. She bought this for her inadequately lit dorm room, and she raves about it. Her roommate has one, too.
- Travel Jewelry Organizer: I’ve been lucky enough to travel a lot in my life, and I’ve developed a solid sense of what works and what doesn’t. This thing is fantastic! I don’t wear much jewelry, so I never thought I needed this. Uh, I was mistaken.
- Family Passport Wallet: Speaking of travel…I’m not sure how I managed without this thing! Anyone who has ever traveled internationally with kids knows, “Preach! This is a life-changer!” and they’re correct.
- Hair Claw Clips: Raise your hand if you have thin, slippery hair. *Raises hand. NOTHING stays in my hair, and it’s incredibly irritating! My daughter got these, and when I saw how effectively they worked, I quickly snagged a few. Score!
- Pastel Highlighters: Oh my goodness. Where were these during my high school days?! These highlighters are the best academic/work/life tools I’ve purchased in YEARS. I adore them and utilize them every. single. day.

FV 2018 was the year of Harry Styles (and all years since) and the ultimate popcorn hack I’ve ever tried.
FV 2019 I posted twice (I must have needed to compensate for ‘15 and ’17?) and included the makeup setting spray that I gift every holiday season and the daily moisturizer that has also become a favorite of my husband’s!
And 2020 was marked by the Victoria Emerson watch band that gets comments every. single. day and the collagen powder that prevented my hair from shedding! I’m serious.
