Cynthia Guerra's Weekly Attire Guide: 7 Chic Ensembles for Each Day

When I asked Cynthia Guerra to define her fashion sense, her reply brought a smile to my face. “I aim to look like a present,” she chuckled. “I enjoy wearing frills, patterns, and colors that uplift my spirits.” Here, the Long Beach-based baker, celebrated for her cute Kawaii-style cakes, presents five outfits she assembled over a week…

Above: Shirt: vintage. Dress: Free People. Jeans: Forever21. Hat: And Then. Socks: Sanrio, similar. Shoes: Nike SB.

T-shirt: Little Light. Skirt: Little Light, similar. Purse: Custom by Hello Sisi. Socks: Sanrio, similar. Shoes: Lisa Says Gah, similar.

“In high school, I was passionate about theater and the concept of physically embodying characters in stories. For my personal style, I drew influence from Kawaii culture. As a teen, I was constantly engrossed in the latest issue of Fruits Magazine, and at 16, I dyed my hair pink.”

“When my mom was younger, she adored Hello Kitty, but my grandparents couldn’t afford those items. So, when I was in first grade, my mom took me to a store to buy pencils, stationery, and a backpack. She expressed how she always wanted those items as a little girl and was thrilled to be able to give them to me. My affection for all the Sanrio characters grew from that moment.”

Top: thrifted, similar. Apron: White Bark Workwear. Jeans: Forever21, similar. Socks: Target. Shoes: Carel Paris.

“I began baking during my early twenties using boxed cake mixes as a hobby while living in Vegas and working in retail. For my friends’ birthdays, I would surprise them with cakes. Eventually, I found myself at a crossroads in my career. My mom encouraged me to take baking more seriously. The thought of shifting to a new career was intimidating but in a positive way.”

“Upon turning 30, I moved in with my grandma in Long Beach, California, and enrolled in the most affordable baking classes I could find. Just before the pandemic hit, I secured my first official baking position as a pastry baker at Susie Cakes. However, when lockdowns began, I was let go. Despite this, I practiced baking daily at home, decorating cakes and sharing them on Instagram. One day, a stranger from Instagram inquired about purchasing a cake. I doubted my ability to sell my creations, but I took the leap. From there, my cake sales increased, and I started participating in pop-ups, and my business has flourished since.”

Overalls: Ford x Sydney Sweeney collab, bought on Depop, similar. Top: pajama top from a shop in Chinatown. Shoes: Blundstones.

“I love these overalls as they embody two aspects of my personality: cute and sweet, while also being practical and ready for work.”

“I wanted to personalize my headphones, so I got a transparent headphone case, adhesive glue, small charms, and pearls. I decorated them while watching my favorite shows, like Chef’s Table and The Peanuts. Much like how some find pleasure in puzzles, decorating these headphones felt like my own version of a puzzle. I even ended up embellishing my phone and laptop as well.”

Top and skirt set: Garden of She. Socks: Urban Outfitters. Shoes: Converse.

“During my free moments, I indulge in visiting various bakeries. My favorite spots include Bub and Grandma’s, Colossus, and Okayama Kobo. When I go on these solo outings, I always dress nicely. I put in so much effort, so why not enjoy it? Dressing up is a celebration of the life I’ve crafted.”

Many thanks, Cynthia! You are amazing.

**Cynthia Guerra’s Weekly Outfit Inspiration: 7 Fashionable Looks for Every Day**

Fashion lovers are constantly searching for new style ideas, and Cynthia Guerra, an emerging figure in the realm of fashion influencers, has become a valuable resource for stylish, adaptable, and attainable outfit suggestions. Recognized for her exquisite taste, Cynthia has compiled a weekly outfit inspiration that highlights seven fashionable looks for each day of the week. Whether you’re heading to work, running errands, or enjoying a night out, Cynthia’s guide guarantees you’ll appear effortlessly stylish. Here’s a glimpse into her weekly outfit suggestions:

### **Monday: Power Suit with a Modern Flare**
Kick off the week powerfully with a contemporary twist on the traditional power suit. Cynthia suggests choosing a fitted blazer and matching trousers in striking colors like emerald green or cobalt blue. Pair the suit with a sleek white or black camisole underneath for a refined, professional appearance. Finish the outfit with pointed-toe heels and understated jewelry. This look radiates confidence and is perfect for starting the workweek with flair.

**Pro Tip:** For a more relaxed touch, trade the heels for loafers or trendy white sneakers.

### **Tuesday: Effortless Chic with Denim**
Tuesdays call for a laid-back yet polished outfit. Cynthia recommends high-waisted straight-leg jeans complemented by a loose-fitting button-down shirt tucked in. Opt for a crisp white shirt or select a pastel hue for a splash of color. To elevate this casual denim ensemble, add a statement belt and ankle boots. This look perfectly balances comfort and sophistication, making it ideal for casual meetings or a day at work.

**Pro Tip:** Roll up the sleeves of your shirt for a more casual, relaxed appearance.

### **Wednesday: Timeless Monochrome**
By midweek, embrace the classic charm of monochrome. Cynthia’s Wednesday ensemble features an all-black outfit that is both chic and versatile. Select a black turtleneck or fitted sweater paired with black wide-leg trousers or a midi skirt. The secret to pulling off monochrome involves playing with textures—consider leather, wool, or satin. Complete the look with sleek black ankle boots and a structured handbag.

**Pro Tip:** Introduce a burst of color with a bold red lip or eye-catching earrings to break the monochrome theme.

### **Thursday: Effortless Class with a Midi Dress**
Thursdays are tailored for effortless sophistication, and Cynthia’s favorite is a flowing midi dress. Choose a dress in gentle materials like silk or chiffon that flatters your shape. Floral designs, polka dots, or solid colors suit this style perfectly. Pair the dress with strappy sandals or heeled ankle boots based on the weather. Include a light trench coat or cardigan for added warmth and elegance.

**Pro Tip:** Define your waist with a belt for a more sculpted silhouette, and accessorize with delicate gold jewelry.

### **Friday: Smart-Casual with Blazer and Jeans**
For Casual Friday, Cynthia suggests a smart-casual outfit ideal for transitioning from the office to happy hour. Pair your favorite skinny or straight-leg jeans with a fitted t-shirt or blouse, and add a structured blazer for an elegant touch. Opt for muted tones like beige, camel, or navy for the blazer, finishing the look with loafers or block-heeled mules.

**Pro Tip:** Replace the t-shirt with a silky camisole if you’re heading out for evening plans post-work.

### **Saturday: Weekend Comfort in a Jumpsuit**
Saturdays revolve around comfort and style, and a jumpsuit offers the perfect solution. Cynthia recommends a utility-style jumpsuit in neutral shades like olive green, beige, or navy. Jumpsuits are highly adaptable and can be dressed up or down based on the event. Pair with white sneakers for a casual daytime style or heeled sandals for a more refined evening look.

**Pro Tip:** Layer a denim jacket or leather moto jacket over the jumpsuit for extra flair and warmth.

### **Sunday: Relaxed and Cozy in Knitwear**
Sundays are designated for leisure, and Cynthia’s attire choice reflects that. Opt for a comfy knit sweater with leggings or relaxed-fit joggers for the ultimate Sunday lounge outfit. If you’re going out for brunch or errands, swap the joggers for high-waisted leggings and add a long cardigan or oversized coat. Finish the look with cozy slip-on sneakers or ankle boots.

**Pro Tip:** Don’t forget to grab a stylish tote bag and oversized sunglasses to round out your relaxed Sunday aesthetic.
