Wishing you a Happy New Year, dear friend! I genuinely expect that 2025 will shower us with countless amazing experiences, full of wellness, happiness, and exploration!
On the last day of 2024, Connor and I immersed ourselves in the art at the SF Museum of Modern Art, fondly known as the SF MOMA, which happens to be one of my all-time favorite places, shared with some of our closest companions.
Being enveloped in stunning art and surrounded by wonderful friends truly rejuvenated my spirit. It was indeed the perfect finale to the year.
Our main goal was to check out the Amy Sherald exhibit; you might recognize her from the iconic portrait of First Lady Michelle Obama.
My top pick from the exhibit features a young woman with her bike on a bright summer day. It’s titled “A Midsummer Afternoon Dream.”
This piece called “Innocent You, Innocent Me,” is Connor’s favorite.
I stumbled upon a couple of new artists that I’m excited about, like Yayoi Kusama, known for her vibrant works, especially dotted creations.
One room she designed was filled with mind-bending colors and glass that felt utterly surreal!
I was also captivated by this mural by Jenifer K Wofford, honoring Vicki Manalo Draves, the first Asian American gold medalist, who was Filipina and hailed from the Bay Area.
This origami installation was delightful. You write down a dream you wish to pursue on a piece of paper, then add it to a collection of other dreams!
I adore interactive displays like this color tunnel…
The girls, myself included, also had a blast walking through this curtain made of gold beads, LOL!
Sending you positive energy for 2025!
Your local beauty enthusiast,
Karen
