Alright, I see what you’re saying. I seldom post. Please stop the shouting. Actually, go ahead and shout at me! We need to revamp this whole thing, don’t you think? Let’s kick it off with one of my all-time favorite (and only) posts of the year–my favorite things!!
If there’s one activity I truly enjoy, it’s shopping. So, curating my list turned out to be more challenging than I anticipated. Just to clarify–I ADORE every single item I’m sharing. I take this post very earnestly. Ha!
If you think that’s a collection of random items, I don’t know what is! Leggings! Highlighters! Toilet lever! Huh, what? Let me clarify…
My Favorite Things of 2021
- Gold Toilet Lever: Absolutely. It revolutionized my toilet experience! Wait. It transformed my toilet’s experience. That sounds better. Trust me on this! It’s a minor but significant transformation, especially for a compact bathroom.
- Gold Initial Necklace: To be honest, some of these are my daughter’s favorites, so I figured I’d include them. For what it’s worth, I’m a high school teacher, and every girl is sporting these necklaces. They’re gorgeous, right?
- Countertop Ice Machine: We have a complete basement bar, but we were missing the ice needed for serving drinks. This ice maker has a sleek design, operates quietly, and provides all the ice we require! PLUS, the price is fantastic!
- Smart Phone Tripod: I am absolutely in love with this gadget! It’s a lifesaver when we’re attempting to capture any group photo!
- Tinkle Razors: I adore these so much; I distribute them to my friends like they’re sweets! They remove that annoying fuzz from your face! Sounds unpleasant, but trust me. Your makeup goes on smoother, your moisturizer absorbs better, and I’ve found that my bronzer applies more effectively as well!
- Leggings: This one’s another favorite of my daughter’s. I felt like they kept popping up in my Amazon cart, so I double-checked. She has FIVE pairs of these! They come in the most beautiful colors, so I can’t fault her for that.
- Greeting Card Organizer: I raved about this on Instagram, and I’m absolutely recommending you purchase one. If you’re a last-minute person like I am, this is invaluable! Late to a graduation party and rushing out the door? Just grab and go! Thank you, little card box.
- Slimming Swimsuit: Look. I’m not a fashion blogger. But when this body slid into that suit, compliments poured in. It’s particularly flattering when I keep that body submerged underwater. 🙂 Seriously though–very lovely!
- Makeup Mirror: Another favorite of Little Miss. She purchased this for her poorly-lit dorm room, and she can’t stop raving about it. Her roommate has one as well.
- Travel Jewelry Organizer: I’ve been lucky enough to travel quite a bit during my life, and I’ve developed a keen sense for what works well. This thing is fantastic! I don’t wear a lot of jewelry, so I never thought I needed this. Oh, was I mistaken.
- Family Passport Wallet: Speaking of travel…I can’t believe I ever lived without this! Anyone who has traveled internationally with children knows exactly what I mean: “It’s a game changer!” and they’re absolutely right.
- Hair Claw Clips: Raise your hand if you have fine, slippery hair. *Raises hand. NOTHING stays in my hair, and it’s incredibly annoying! My daughter bought these, and once I saw how well they worked, I quickly grabbed a couple. What a score!
- Pastel Highlighters: Oh my goodness. Where were these when I was in high school?! These highlighters are the best tools for school/work/life I’ve invested in for YEARS. I adore them and use them every. single. day.
If you managed to read through all that, you deserve a gold star! I’m wagering my sister-in-law is the only one who genuinely read it. xoxo Ha!

<p.Gee. I suppose I’ve been doing this for quite some time! I think I’m missing a few, but these favorites really are timeless! Enjoy browsing around!
My Favorite Things 2014 was when I introduced the eyeshadow palette that transformed my makeup routine.
My Favorite Things 2016 featured my camera upgrade that I’ve cherished ever since. It remains my favorite gadget!
Who even knows what happened in 2015 and 2017?
FV 2018 was dedicated to Harry Styles (and every year thereafter) and the best popcorn hack I’ve ever discovered.
FV 2019 saw me posting twice (must have been to compensate for “15 and ’17?), including the makeup setting spray that I gift every holiday and the daily moisturizer that has also become a hit with my husband!
And 2020 was highlighted by the Victoria Emerson watch band that gets compliments every. single. day and the collagen powder that prevented my hair from shedding! I’m serious.
Some amazing bloggers I know have also shared their favorite things, and I can tell it’s going to be a strain on my wallet! My friend Sarah at Thrifty Decor Chick has hosted this hop for years, and it’s one of my favorite events! (Did you catch that?) Definitely check them all out!
