So…what is the Monday Survey?
Great inquiry! Contrary to what its title suggests, it isn’t a traditional survey with clickable options. It’s merely a collection of somewhat random questions that I’ve been sharing on this blog every Monday morning for eons (since 2007).
1. Shrimp or crab?
Crab, but it must be real and fresh, not imitation.
2. Yoga or pilates?
Both are equally tough for me at the moment, being quite out of shape. LOL! (The past year has been a challenge.) I’ll opt for yoga; a solid stretch would be beneficial.
3. Something that evokes sentimentality?
Whenever my phone shows me baby pictures of Connor or old images of Tabs before he became ill. My heart fills up every time.
4. What book are you currently reading?
Nada at the moment, unfortunately. I’m on the lookout for a good one. Any recommendations? I’m aiming for something light and not too frightening.
5. Something you wish you had declined sooner?
I regret not saying no to most of the people who asked me out during my teenage years and early twenties. I’ve come to understand that back then, I struggled with turning down requests that made me uneasy, which led me into unwanted relationships. I used to be a big people pleaser until recently. Better late than never, I suppose.
6. What’s a sign of spring in your area?
I can tell spring is approaching when the white cherry blossoms in my neighborhood start to bloom. I’m looking forward to it! I find I appreciate spring much more now than when I was younger. It feels like a time of renewal and a world waking up again.
7. A gadget you desire?
An air fryer that’s compact for my kitchen counter, easy to operate, and visually appealing.
8. What eyeliner are you using these days?
I recently purchased a gorgeous bronze pencil from MAC called Skip the Waitlist. It’s a twist-up gel liner, aka my number one favorite.
