This is how I envision my blogging journey. I want to adorn my home beautifully, and then I’d love for someone else to capture all the images and edit them. Is that really too much to wish for? 🙂 I genuinely adore dressing up for Christmas, and I cherish that warm atmosphere, you know? Sooo, I just had to let you in on it.
Step into my black and green Christmas workspace—also known as my newest classroom. Believe me when I say it doesn’t usually appear this way. This office desk paired with the leather chair complements the dark bookshelves wonderfully.
I opted for a very simple color scheme this year (surprise!). These colors bring me endless happiness, and that’s really the essence of them, right? A few years back, I discovered this garland at a consignment shop for just $12. I added a little ribbon, and it just completes the entire vibe!
I’m dubbing this the year of the candle. Apparently, they’ve become my go-to this year? This console table is wonderful to style because it instantly transforms the atmosphere of the room!
This is my view from the kitchen, of course, while I’m busy baking cookies. Ha! People frequently inquire about this mirror (similar) and my rug! I adore both items!
Given that I’ve been at home more often (virtual teaching—yay), I had some extra time to set up another Christmas tree. I placed this flocked tree in my room, and I might never take it down! (Just kidding.)
All the ornaments were clearance items from Kirkland’s last year, and I got the tree from At Home. I’m in love with the color combination!
I’m fairly certain this is my all-time favorite tree…and the only ones who see it are my husband and I. Go figure. 😉 I have a few more spots to showcase, but these are our primary areas. I hope you enjoyed the walkthrough! If you’d like to glimpse some more beautiful spaces, please check out my friends’ homes as well!

## Adjusting to a New Norm
The 2020 Christmas Tour was conceived to deliver the enchantment of the holidays to communities in a safe and socially distanced way. ## Notable Aspects of the 2020 Christmas Tour
### 1. **Drive-Through Light Exhibits**
One of the standout elements of the 2020 Christmas Tour was the emergence of drive-through light displays. These affairs permitted families to stay in the safety of their cars while enjoying intricate holiday decorations, synchronized light shows, and festive music. Cities such as Los Angeles, Toronto, and London hosted extensive drive-through experiences showcasing millions of shimmering lights, themed setups, and even visits from Santa Claus.
### 2. **Virtual Concerts and Shows**
With live performances curtailed, many musicians and organizations turned to digital platforms to engage with their audiences. The 2020 Christmas Tour featured livestreamed concerts, virtual caroling events, and pre-recorded holiday specials. Renowned performers like Andrea Bocelli, Mariah Carey, and Pentatonix headlined virtual events, bringing their music into homes around the globe.
### 3. **Pop-Up Holiday Fairs**
While traditional Christmas markets were minimized or canceled, certain organizers introduced pop-up holiday markets with rigorous safety protocols. These markets showcased local artisans, festive treats, and holiday-themed products, with strict entry times and outdoor arrangements to minimize crowding. In some cases, markets shifted to online platforms, enabling shoppers to support small businesses from the comfort of their homes.
### 4. **Reimagined Santa Claus Visits**
Santa Claus, a key figure in Christmas festivities, adjusted to the times with socially distanced visits. Numerous malls and community centers provided “contactless” Santa experiences, allowing children to chat with Santa through plexiglass barriers or video calls. Some Christmas Tours even incorporated Santa riding on floats or fire trucks through neighborhoods, waving at children from a safe distance.
### 5. **Community-Focused Efforts**
The 2020 Christmas Tour also placed emphasis on giving back to communities in need. Food drives, toy donations, and charity fundraisers were embedded into many events, encouraging participants to spread generosity and kindness during a challenging year. These efforts highlighted the true spirit of the season: compassion and unity.
