SoftLine Lip Liner Long-Lasting Lip Pencil

The highlight for me is undoubtedly the SoftLine Lip Liner Long-Lasting Lip Pencil. It comes in 8 shades and what I appreciate about these is they truly resemble a classic lip liner pencil. The longevity is impressive, but I prefer that these aren’t like gel pencils that are entirely smudge-proof since those can appear dry on my lips as time goes by. A more traditional pencil like this one is gentler on my lips, especially when they are parched.
The formula is silky, but they don’t apply as smoothly as those from Merit (which are glossier). I adore the pigmentation; even the lighter shades show up well on my pigmented lips with excellent coverage. The color variety in this formula is delightful. I believe every shade is flattering!
I tested these swatches on my entire lip for shade reference, although I typically would only line the outer edges and then seek a coordinating gloss or lipstick.
Flushed Lip Stain
The Flushed Lip Stains are stunning and the pigmentation is outstanding. Personally, I’m not fond of stains because my lips seem to transform liquid lipsticks and lip stains into an unrecognizable darker tone. What appears on my lips rarely correlates with a swatch or what I see in the applicator.
I think the product is top-notch and the staying power is definitely impressive. I attempted to wash off the swatches from my arm, and the stain persists even with a bi-phase makeup remover. I couldn’t swatch all of them on my lips because the stain adhered so well that I felt swatching more would mix the colors.
Overall, I’m in love. I think the combinations with the Lip Butter Balms are also engaging. I haven’t extensively experimented with layering different shades, but the colors they have created are absolutely gorgeous.
