Top Preferred Items of 2020

It’s that season! My favorite things for 2020 article is finally here, and I might be more thrilled about it than you are? 🙂 I really enjoy reflecting on the past year to identify my true favorites…and then justify spending on them by crafting a blog post. Ha!

Let’s dive in right away, shall we?

  • Hmm. Is it wrong to kick off with drinks? I’m a massive fan of eggnog, but when I tasted this Evan Williams eggnog at a family Christmas gathering a couple of years back, it changed everything! It’s potent (in my view), making it a fantastic drink to savor all evening long!
  • This compact heater is my new go-to! I had an old one in my classroom for years, but it finally gave out. I adore this heater so much that I brought it home for my virtual teaching sessions. It oscillates, has two heating levels, and even includes a cool fan for those sudden warm spells! Oy vey.
  • I know. It resembles a computer mouse. But hear me out! This is a SILENT computer mouse! I keep my laptop in the living room, and I enjoy using it while we’re watching TV. Let’s just say, the clicking was becoming bothersome. I worried this wouldn’t function properly, but it’s exceptional!
  • I love the Raskog utility cart from Ikea so much that I own three of them. The versatility is limitless, and this green one just had to be mine. It was all about the color.
  • This custom puzzle is such a hit that I’m about to acquire my third one this year! It was the ideal way to keep us entertained during quarantine, and it continues to be a cherished activity at family get-togethers!
  • Alright, hear me out. I’ve been a fan of Victoria Emerson bracelets for ages. But when she launched Apple watch bands????? Each. and. every. time someone spots them on me, I receive compliments. The one I own is shown above. And I might have just ordered another one.
  • I began adding this powdered collagen to my coffee about a year ago, and it significantly improved my hair. I was losing hair like CRAZY, and it genuinely worried me—like panic-inducing concern. I mix one (unflavored) scoop into my morning coffee, and that drastic shedding has stopped! Now I swear by this product.
  • My pale skin always craves a self-tanner in winter. My daughter uses this Isle of Paradise, and I “borrowed” it from her. It’s fantastic! I suggest spraying it on and blending it with a daily moisturizer for optimal results, but it’s incredibly natural!
  • We just had a shed constructed for our backyard, and it motivated me to finally establish a cut flower garden (ten years after I initially desired one, but who’s counting?) Floret Farm’s Cut Flower Garden book has been an incredible resource for me! I have pages flagged, lines highlighted, and notes jotted down…and honestly—the pictures are stunning!
  • For all my tall girls, I saved the best for last. Long leggings! I’m 5’9″, and I’d say my legs are around 5’7″ of that height. I could never wear leggings without tall boots because I couldn’t find long enough ones. These leggings are fantastic! I purchased the 34″ inseam, but they also come in up to 36 inches! They are also high-waisted and fit wonderfully. You’re welcome.

WHEW! I’m pretty sure all this typing fulfilled my blogging quota for the year. I’m wiped out. Ha! I hope you managed to discover something from my list! If you’re interested to see what my friends are recommending, here are some links for you! They’re making me fill up my shopping carts, that much is clear!
