Top Selections of 2020: Features from Just a Girl Blog

It’s that season again! My favorite finds of 2020 post is finally here, and I might be more thrilled about it than you are? 🙂 I enjoy reflecting on the past year to identify what I genuinely cherish…and then justify spending on it by composing a post. Ha!

Let’s dive into it, shall we?

  • Hmm. Is it wrong to kick off with a drink? I’m a massive fan of eggnog, but when I tried this Evan Williams eggnog at a family Christmas gathering a couple of years back, it was a revelation! It’s potent (in my view), making it a perfect sipper throughout the night!
  • This compact portable heater has become my new favorite! I used an old one for years in my classroom, but it eventually gave out. I adore this device so much that I brought it home from school to use during my online teaching. It oscillates, offers two heat settings, and even has a cool fan for when those hot flashes strike! Oy vey.
  • I know. It resembles a computer mouse. But this gadget! It is a SILENT computer mouse! I keep my laptop in my living room, and I like to be on my computer while we’re watching tv. Needless to say, the clicking was becoming bothersome. I worried it wouldn’t perform well, but it’s fantastic!
  • I’m such a fan of the Raskog utility cart from Ikea that I own three of them. The options are limitless, and this green one simply had to be mine. Just because of the color.
  • This personalized puzzle is such a favorite that I’m about to order my third one in a single year! It was the ideal activity to get us through quarantine, and it turns out to be a cherished pastime at family gatherings!
  • Alright, hear me out. I’ve been a fan of Victoria Emerson bracelets forever. But when she launched Apple watch bands????? Every. single. time someone notices them on me, I receive a compliment. The one I own is shown above. And I might have just ordered another one.
  • I started adding this powdered collagen to my coffee about a year back, and it significantly improved my hair. I was losing hair like CRAZY, which became a real concern—almost panic-inducing. I mix one (flavorless) scoop into my morning coffee, and that gradual shedding has halted! Now I swear by this stuff.
  • My pale skin always requires self-tanner in the winter. My daughter uses this Isle of Paradise, and I “borrowed” it. It’s wonderful! I recommend applying it and blending it with a daily moisturizer for the best results, but it looks so natural!
  • We recently had a shed constructed for our backyard, which motivated me to finally start a cut flower garden (ten years after I initially wanted one, but who’s counting?) Floret Farm’s Cut Flower Garden book has been an essential resource for me! I have pages bookmarked, lines highlighted, notes written…and let’s be honest—the images are stunning!
  • For all my tall ladies out there, I saved the best for last. Long leggings! I’m 5’9″, and I’d estimate my legs make up about 5’7″ of that. I have never been able to wear leggings without tall boots because I couldn’t find them long enough. These leggings are fantastic! I purchased the 34″ inseam, but they go up to 36 inches! They are also high-waisted and fit wonderfully. You’re welcome.

WHEW! I’m pretty sure all that typing has filled my blogging quota for the year. I’m wiped out. Ha! I hope you found something from my list! If you’d like to see what my friends are recommending, here are some links for you! They are definitely making me fill my shopping carts, I can assure you of that!
