Alright, I understand. I seldom post. Please stop the yelling. Actually, do yell at me! We need to get this show back on track, right? Let’s kick it off with one of my favorites (and the sole) posts of the year—favorite things!!
If there’s one passion of mine, it’s shopping. So, narrowing my list proved to be harder than anticipated. Let me clarify—I ADORE every item I’m about to share. I take this post very seriously. Ha!
If that’s not a mixed bag of items, I don’t know what is! Leggings! Highlighters! Toilet handle! Wait, what? Here’s the breakdown…
Favorite Things 2021
- Gold Toilet Handle: Indeed. It revolutionized my toilet experience! Oops. It revolutionized my toilet’s experience. That sounds better. Trust me. It’s such a minor yet significant change, especially for small bathrooms.
- Gold Initial Necklace: Honestly, a few of these are favorites of my daughter, so I thought it best to include them. For what it’s worth, as a high school teacher, I see all the girls wearing these necklaces. They’re stunning, right?
- Countertop Ice Maker: We have a complete basement bar, but we were short on the ice essential for serving drinks. This ice maker has such a low profile, it’s incredibly quiet, and it produces all the ice we need! AND I adore the price!
- Smartphone Tripod: I love this gadget! It’s a lifesaver when we’re taking group pictures!
- Tinkle Razors: I love these so much that I distribute them to friends like candy! They eliminate that fuzzy hair on your face! Sounds terrible, but believe me. Your makeup applies better, your moisturizer glides on smoother, and I find my tanning bronzer works better too!
- Leggings: This is another of my daughter’s favorites. I felt like I was continually spotting them in my Amazon cart, so I decided to double-check. She has FIVE pairs of these! They come in the most beautiful colors, so I get why she loves them.
- Greeting Card Organizer: I hyped this up on Instagram, and I’m genuinely recommending you purchase one. If you’re like me and tend to procrastinate, this is super practical! Running out the door and late for a graduation celebration? Grab it and go! Thanks, little card box.
- Slimming Swimsuit: Look. I’m not a fashion blogger. But when this body slipped into that suit, compliments poured in. It especially looks good on me when I keep that body submerged underwater. 🙂 Seriously though—very lovely!
- Makeup Mirror: Another favorite of my daughter. She bought this for her dim dorm room, and she can’t stop raving about it. Her roommate has one too.
- Travel Jewelry Organizer: I’ve had the luck to travel extensively in my life, and I’ve developed quite a knack for what works and what doesn’t. This organizer is fantastic! I don’t wear much jewelry, so I never felt the necessity for this. Uh, turns out I was mistaken.
- Family Passport Holder: Speaking of travel…I can’t believe I ever went without this! Anyone who has traveled abroad with children will say “Preach! This is a game-changer!” and they are correct.
- Hair Claw Clips: Raise your hand if you have fine, slippery hair. *Raises hand. NOTHING stays in my hair, and it’s so irksome! My daughter bought these, and when I noticed how effective they were, I quickly grabbed a few. Jackpot!
- Pastel Highlighters: Oh my gosh. Where were these during my high school years?! These highlighters are the best tool for school/work/life I’ve bought in YEARS. I cherish them and utilize them every. single. day.
If you made it through that entire read, you deserve a gold star! I’m betting my sister-in-law is the only one who truly read it. xoxo Ha!

FV 2018 was the year of Harry Styles (and all subsequent years) and the best popcorn hack I’ve ever found.
FV 2019 featured two posts (perhaps to compensate for “15 and ’17?) and included the makeup setting spray I gift every Christmas and the daily moisturizer that has also become a favorite of my husband’s!
And 2020 introduced the Victoria Emerson watch band, which garners comments every. single. day, and the collagen powder that prevented my hair from falling out! I’m serious.
