Alright, I understand. I rarely post. Stop with the shouting at me. Actually, keep shouting! We need to get this show back up and running, right? Let’s kick things off with one of my favorite (and only) posts of the year–my favorite things!!
If there’s one activity I adore, it’s shopping. Therefore, curating my list was trickier than I expected. Just to clarify–I ABSOLUTELY LOVE every single item I’m sharing. I take this post quite seriously. Ha!
Well, if that isn’t a mixed bag of goodies, I don’t know what is! Leggings! Highlighters! Toilet lever! Hold on, what? Let me clarify…
Favorite Things 2021
- Gold Toilet Lever: Yes. It revolutionized my toilet experience! Wait. It transformed my toilet’s experience. That makes more sense. Trust me on this. It’s a minuscule, yet significant change for a compact bathroom, particularly.
- Gold Initial Necklace: Some of these are favorites of my daughter, so I chose to include them. For what it’s worth, I’m a high school educator, and all the girls are sporting these necklaces. They’re gorgeous, right?
- Countertop Ice Machine: We have a fully equipped basement bar, but we were short on the ice required for drinks. This machine has such a sleek design, it’s extremely quiet, and it produces all the ice we could possibly want! AND the price is fantastic!
- Smart Phone Tripod: I absolutely adore this gadget! It’s a lifesaver when we’re trying to capture group photos!
- Tinkle Razors: I love these so much that I hand them out to friends like they’re candy! They shave that pesky fuzz right off your face! Sounds terrible, but trust me. Your makeup applies better, your moisturizer goes on smoother, and I even find my bronzing lotion works more effectively!
- Leggings: This is another item my daughter loves. I noticed them frequently showing up in my Amazon cart, so I took a closer look. She owns FIVE pairs! They come in beautiful colors, so I can’t blame her.
- Greeting Card Organizer: I praised this on Instagram, and I’m definitely recommending it! If you’re like me and tend to leave things until the last minute, this is a lifesaver! Late for a graduation party? Grab and go! Thanks, handy card box.
- Slimming Swimsuit: Look, I’m not a fashionista. But when I slipped into this suit, I received an avalanche of compliments. It looks particularly great on me when I keep that body submerged. 🙂 Seriously though–very pretty!
- Makeup Mirror: Another favorite of my daughter. She purchased this for her dimly lit dorm room, and she can’t stop raving about it. Her roommate has one too.
- Travel Jewelry Organizer: I’ve been lucky to travel quite a bit, and I’ve developed a keen sense of what works and what doesn’t. This organizer is fantastic! I don’t wear much jewelry, so I never thought I needed one. Oh, was I mistaken.
- Family Passport Wallet: Speaking of travel… I have no idea how I managed without this thing! Anyone who has ever traveled abroad with kids will yell, “Preach! This thing is a game-changer!” and they’re absolutely right.
- Hair Claw Clips: Raise your hand if you have fine, slippery hair. *Raises hand. NOTHING stays put, and it drives me insane! My daughter grabbed these, and upon seeing how effective they were, I had to snag a few. Score!
- Pastel Highlighters: Oh my gosh. Where were these when I was in high school?! These highlighters are the best tool for school/work/life I’ve bought in YEARS. I adore them and use them every. single. day.
If you read all of that, you deserve a gold star! I’m betting my sister-in-law is the only one who actually made it through. xoxo Ha!

FV 2018 was the year of Harry Styles (and every year since) and the best popcorn hack I’ve ever tried.
FV 2019 had me posting twice (likely to compensate for ’15 and ’17?) and included the makeup setting spray I gift every Christmas along with the daily moisturizer that’s become my husband’s favorite too!
And 2020 introduced the Victoria Emerson watch band that draws comments every. single. day and the collagen powder that halted my hair from falling out! I’m not joking.
