As we munched on potato chips at the kitchen table, our friend shared a fantastic parenting tale. “After a long day with my children, I urgently needed a few moments of solitude,” she recounted. “I opted to shower and instructed my six-year-old twins to play together in my bedroom. I looked them straight in the eyes and said, ‘Only come to me if it’s an emergency.’”
Two minutes later — you guessed it — our friend heard vigorous knocking on the bathroom door. “Mom!!!!” her daughter yelled. “I have to tell you something!!!!!!” She continued to bang until her mother emerged from the shower, naked and dripping, and partially opened the door.
“MOM,” her daughter exclaimed, her eyes wide.
“Yes?!”
“Two Pomeranians survived the Titanic.”
