Maybe so, but while I don’t jet-set as frequently as I used to during my regular assignments in Africa for the UN, connecting through Dubai and London, as well as Johannesburg, I can confidently say I have yet to enjoy a coffee experience that matches what I find in specialty coffee shops or at home.

So, late last year, after presenting at an international conference on land degradation in Riyadh and steering clear of hotel coffee, I realized I had been dropped off at the new Terminal 4 of King Khalid airport.
