So…what is the Monday Poll?
Great question! It’s not, despite its title, a real poll, like one with clickable buttons. It’s simply a collection of more or less random inquiries I’ve been sharing on this blog every Monday morning for what feels like an eternity (since 2007).
1. At what time of the day do you feel your best?
From 5:30 until around 11 in the morning. Everything tends to go downhill after lunch, when I transform into Sleepy Spice, haha! I’m not sure when it started, but at some point over the last decade, I became a morning person.
2. What do you enjoy in your smoothie?
Greek yogurt, vanilla protein powder, and raspberries (for fiber!) are my top picks. I also enjoy bananas or apples for a bit of sweetness.
3. Is there something about your current makeup routine that irritates you?
Ugh, the concealer I’ve been using from MAC just doesn’t adhere well after application. Bits and pieces of it end up all over. It’s incredibly messy, and it annoys me.
4. What do you love about your makeup routine?
I’ve managed to streamline everything to the point where I can complete an entire makeup look in under five minutes. Being able to apply makeup joyfully in such a short time has been truly liberating.
5. Is there something beauty-related you’re contemplating?
I’m casually considering coloring my hair again. I’m not particularly committed to it because of the time and expense involved in maintenance (ugh, ROOTS), but I kindasorta miss the excitement of changing it up with highlights and such. I’m not sure. I probably won’t pursue it for practical reasons, but then again, who knows!
