So…what’s this Monday Poll all about?
Great inquiry! It’s not, despite what the name implies, an actual poll with clickable buttons. It’s simply a collection of somewhat random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for what feels like forever (since 2007).
1. What’s your favorite part of rainy days?
For me, it’s a combination of things, one being the fresh smell of the air after a rainfall. And back in the day, I’d mention jumping in puddles with baby Connor. Fun fact: can you believe she’s almost 10? Anyway, these days, I’d say the best part of rainy days is that the risk of wildfires is reduced, which is such a mental comfort.
2. Where is your happy spot?
At Lanikai beach in the morning on Oahu. Or curled up in bed at night, knowing everyone I cherish is under the same roof. 🙂
3. Are you able to do any accents?
I’m fairly certain I’ve mastered the “Angry Filipino Mom Speaking American English with Random Tagalog Words!” HAHAHA! I also used to do a very goofy British accent but haven’t attempted it in years. Plus, I can pull off a California surfer accent decently!
4. What’s a quirky little habit of yours?
I always seem to pack way too many snacks in my work lunch. I can’t quite figure out why. We have really great vending machines on campus, and there’s usually extra food in the breakroom, so it’s not like snacks are hard to come by. Yet, I feel much better knowing that I have a range of relatively healthy snacks I enjoy to choose from. Also, if someone nearby has a rumbling stomach, I like having extra food on hand for someone else.
5. Something beauty-related that you urgently need to purchase?
I’m running low on conditioner. With long, wavy hair, this is quite a concerning situation!
