It’s that moment of the year once more — the holiday season. And it’s in full effect! Halloween zipped past, and now Thanksgiving is on the agenda. Following that, it’s smooth sailing right up to Christmas.
Honestly, though, I’m not sure about you, but this year has felt like a puzzle wrapped in a mystery for me. We often remark, “This year flew by so quickly!” but seriously, what in the world happened to 2025? It feels like I lost a year, as if I went to sleep last July and woke up in November. This year was like the cheetah of the 2020s! Raced right past.
Anyway…Thanksgiving. I can’t deny — I have much to be grateful for. I recognize we’re all on borrowed time. Life can be harsh and always too short. I’m grateful for my family and our health right now, and I’m thankful for everything that has brought me joy, including you. 🙂

As is customary during the holidays, my thoughts always drift to Tabs… He departed six years ago. Six years. And he’s still on my mind every single day. That’s the absolute truth. Not a day passes without me thinking of my tabby.
Thanksgiving was a significant event around here when Tabs was in charge. He was a very grateful tabby.
He appreciated his fantastic physique, his business savvy, and, let’s be candid, gravy.
The newer members of the family aren’t so new anymore. Rosie has been around since 2019, and Marnie joined us in 2023.
Speaking of Marnie, she’s thankful for her family.
