I was primarily keen to explore the beauty exclusives and sunglasses. I posted a brief overview of what caught my interest in the store in this Instagram Reel here.
The Beauty Exclusives appeared to consist largely of value sets or larger sizes. While I have a lot of the shades from this year’s collections, I believe there are a few noteworthy items to check out. There are fantastic savings available, particularly on perfume sets! And if you’re shopping for beauty items, don’t forget to consider the GIFTS WITH PURCHASE. Many of these offerings will change, and some are exclusive to online shopping.
Sunglasses
I always anticipate the sunglasses they offer during each sale. I tried on the Celine Bold Three Dots 51 mm pair; however, I preferred the 55 mm ones that I already own. There were a lot of enjoyable Tom Ford sunglasses available that were quite appealing. While these larger butterfly styles were charming, they resembled the ones I purchased last year. I ultimately chose a pair of oval frames in a lighter hue for added fun.
Beauty Exclusives – Makeup
There are numerous fantastic value sets on best-selling makeup items. If there was something you were eyeing, I believe there are some impressive savings available this year. Chanel Beauty has a 3-piece set, but since I already possess the lipstick and am well stocked on cleansers, I opted out of this one.
Armani Beauty offers excellent sets if you’re looking to save on their liquid eyeshadows or blushes. The Cheek Tint Liquid Blush Duo ($53) features two of their best-selling pink shades, while the Effortless Eyes Set ($62) includes a shimmering champagne, a tan brown matte, and a mini mascara.
Bobbi Brown consistently presents beautiful sets that are ideal for those desiring a classic, effortless appearance for either eyes or lips. I acquired the Eye Enhancer Eyeshadow Palette + Liner Set ($55), as I find the colors to be very appealing.
The Hourglass Brush Trio Set ($146 on sale, $220 value) is back! This sold out incredibly quickly last year, so I’m pleased they brought it back. The Veil Translucent Setting Powder + Brush Set ($80 on sale) also offers decent value.
MAC consistently features great lip sets. This year, the colors seemed largely to be repeats in the Satin Soft Lip Combo Kit ($33 on sale, $50 value). The combinations include Crème in Your Coffee + Whirl and Crème Cup + Cork.
Additionally, there’s another neutrals set called the Glossy Comfort Lip Combo Kit ($33 on sale, $50 value) with Casual Lipglass Air and Velvet Teddy Lip Liner. Another option is the Night Nude Look in a Box Collection ($60 on sale, $105 value). I picked up the mini Pocket Plushies Brush Kit ($60), which I think is incredibly cute.
Westman Atelier has a few beautiful collections! All the shades are permanent, although I truly adore the Lip Edition Set ($79 on sale, $122 value). It features 3 full sizes: Rose Lip Suede Matte Lipstick, Chou Chou Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balm, and Je Reve Lip Shape Lip Liner. I really enjoy the combination, and you can observe each shade in action here. She also offers a Petite Baby Cheeks Lit Up Duo ($35 on sale, $52 value) with Nectar and Petal.
YSL Beauty has several lovely sets, all featuring permanent shades. I believe the Make Me Blush + Loveshine Set ($60 on sale) with Nude Lavalliere Blush + Loveshine is a classic combination that’s a safe bet. Personally, I adore the Brown Look Eyeshadow Set ($81 on sale) because the 710 Over Brun Palette is one of their top quads.
If you are a fan of lip plumpers, the Loveshine Plumping Lip Oil ($53 on sale, $80 value) includes two perfect pinks. I found the formula a bit strong for my lips to handle, but I’ve included swatches from a previous review below. This set includes Lucky Moonstone and Nude Lavalliere.
Tom Ford Beauty frequently offers delightful fragrance sets, but the Runway Lip Duo Gift Set ($85 on sale, $124 value) includes two of my favorite shades: Sable Smoke and Slip.
Beauty Exclusives – Fragrance + Body
I believe the Nordstrom Sale is a dream come true for perfume enthusiasts, particularly with the value sets. The Le Labo Discovery Fragrance Set ($210) was on my wish list and was the first item I picked up in-store. It includes miniatures of 5 scents and these come with a spritzer atomizer. I find it so adorable. I’ve always loved Another 13, but it’s been a while since I tried others, so I think this is perfect for me.
I enjoy the Le Labo Shower Gels and Hand Soaps; they typically come in jumbo sizes during the sale, so I bought the Hinoki Shower Gel ($55) and may order a hand soap before the sale concludes.
L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil Set ($62 on sale, $95 value) was also a must-have for me. Andrew enjoys this one, so I was delighted to stock up, as we go through numerous bottles.
Parfums de Marly Signature Trio ($515 on sale, $765 value) is an excellent collection. I love all the scents included, and if I didn’t already own them, I would certainly have purchased this set. A few of you inquired about my preference between the Valaya and Valaya Exclusif. I find both to be stunning, but I favor the exclusif version as it’s softer and not quite as sharp as the original. If you’re a fan of Delina, there’s a Delina + Exclusif Duo ($455 on sale, $675 value).
Byredo and Maison Francis Kurkdjian also have fantastic sets available during the sale, though they tend to offer these during the holiday as well. I really appreciate the look of the Discovery Fragrance Trio ($475) containing Baccarat Rouge 540, Kurky (loveee), and Grand Soir (which I haven’t tried but have heard wonderful things about). If this is slightly beyond your budget for a discovery set, they also provide smaller vials in the My Wardrobe Set ($230).
Beauty Exclusives – Skincare
For skincare, I acquired the La Mer Most Loved Minis Set ($98) because I adore these for weekend trips. I currently have a lot I’m working through, so I didn’t pick up any additional sets. I believe many of these value sets will return for the holiday season as well. Augustinus Bader is another favorite of mine, and they offer The Cream and The Rich Cream at discounted prices for the sale, along with some other sets.
Misc
I opted out of shoes and clothing this year. I had several items on my radar, but after checking them out in store, I chose to pass for now. They always have an excellent selection of Barefoot Dreams, which I love, but I decided to hold off for the moment. I have my eye on the CozyChic Ribbed Cardigan – it appears perfect for winter! I was quite surprised to see Away Luggage at Nordstrom, though! They have a few items on sale in limited-edition colors, including the Featherweight Weekend Bag, Mini Crossbody, and various Suitcase sizes.
