I was particularly keen on exploring the beauty exclusives and sunglasses. I put together a brief overview of what caught my eye in-store in this Instagram Reel here.
The Beauty Exclusives appeared to mainly consist of value sets or jumbo sizes. While I already possess many of the shades in this year’s sets, I do believe there are a few highlights worth checking out. There are fantastic savings to be had, particularly with perfume sets! Also, if you’re shopping for beauty, remember to check out the GIFTS WITH PURCHASE. Many of these will change, and some are available online only.
Sunglasses
I always anticipate the sunglasses available during each sale. I tried on the Celine Bold Three Dots 51 mm pair but preferred the 55 mm ones I already own. There were plenty of great Tom Ford sunglasses on sale that were exceptionally stylish. These larger butterfly styles were adorable yet similar to ones I purchased last year. I ultimately chose these oval frame styles in a lighter hue for some fun.
Beauty Exclusives – Makeup
There are numerous fantastic value sets on top-selling makeup items. If you’ve had your eye on anything, I think there are some excellent savings to be had this year. Chanel Beauty offers a 3-piece set, but since I already have the lipstick and am well-stocked on cleansers, I decided to pass on this.
Armani Beauty has some wonderful sets if you’re looking for savings on their liquid eyeshadows or blushes. The Cheek Tint Liquid Blush Duo ($53) includes two of their best-selling pinks, and the Effortless Eyes Set ($62) features a shimmery champagne, a tan brown matte, and a mini mascara.
Bobbi Brown consistently offers beautiful sets that I think are ideal for those desiring a classic effortless appearance, whether for the eyes or lips. I picked up the Eye Enhancer Eyeshadow Palette + Liner Set ($55), which I find to have lovely colors.
The Hourglass Brush Trio Set ($146 on sale, $220 value) is back! It sold out so quickly last year, and I’m thrilled it’s available again. The Veil Translucent Setting Powder + Brush Set ($80 on sale) also offers good value.
MAC consistently has fantastic lip sets. This year, the colors seemed to largely be repeats in the Satin Soft Lip Combo Kit ($33 on sale, $50 value). The combos include Crème in Your Coffee + Whirl and Crème Cup + Cork.
Additionally, there’s a neutrals set known as the Glossy Comfort Lip Combo Kit ($33 on sale, $50 value) featuring Casual Lipglass Air and Velvet Teddy Lip Liner. There’s also the Night Nude Look in a Box Collection ($60 on sale, $105 value). I snagged the mini Pocket Plushies Brush Kit ($60), which I find super adorable.
Westman Atelier offers a few gorgeous sets! All shades are permanent, but I’m truly fond of the Lip Edition Set ($79 on sale, $122 value). It includes 3 full sizes with Rose Lip Suede Matte Lipstick, Chou Chou Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balm, and Je Reve Lip Shape Lip Liner. I really adore the combination, and you can see each shade in action here. She also provides a Petite Baby Cheeks Lit Up Duo ($35 on sale, $52 value) featuring Nectar and Petal.
YSL Beauty has several lovely sets with all permanent shades. I believe the Make Me Blush + Loveshine Set ($60 on sale) with Nude Lavalliere Blush + Loveshine is a timeless duo you can’t go wrong with. Personally, I adore the Brown Look Eyeshadow Set ($81 on sale) as the 710 Over Brun Palette is one of their best quads.
If you appreciate lip plumpers, the Loveshine Plumping Lip Oil ($53 on sale, $80 value) contains two ideal pinks. I found this formula a bit too potent for my lips, but I’ve added swatches from a previous review below. This set comprises Lucky Moonstone and Nude Lavalliere.
Tom Ford Beauty frequently features beautiful fragrance sets, but the Runway Lip Duo Gift Set ($85 on sale, $124 value) includes two of my favorite shades, Sable Smoke and Slip.
Beauty Exclusives – Fragrance + Body
The Nordstrom Sale is truly a dream for perfume lovers with its value sets. The Le Labo Discovery Fragrance Set ($210) was on my wishlist and was the first item I picked up in-store. It includes miniatures of 5 scents and has a spritzer atomizer. I think it’s adorable. I’ve loved Another 13, but it’s been a while since I’ve tried others, so I think this is ideal for me.
I adore the Le Labo Shower Gels and Hand Soaps; they typically offer jumbo sizes during the sale, so I grabbed the Hinoki Shower Gel ($55), and I may order a hand soap before the sale concludes.
The L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil Set ($62 on sale, $95 value) was also a must-have for me. Andrew enjoys this one, so I was pleased to stock up as we go through many bottles.
The Parfums de Marly Signature Trio ($515 on sale, $765 value) is an excellent set. I adore all the scents contained here, and if I didn’t already own them, I would have definitely gotten this set. Many of you have asked if I prefer Valaya or Valaya Exclusif. I find both to be stunning, but I lean toward the exclusif version because it’s gentler and not as sharp as the original. If you love Delina, there’s a Delina + Exclusif Duo ($455 on sale, $675 value).
Byredo and Maison Francis Kurkdjian also have wonderful sets available during the sale, although they often present these during the holidays. I particularly appreciate the appearance of the Discovery Fragrance Trio ($475), which includes Baccarat Rouge 540, Kurky (loveee), and Grand Soir (haven’t tried yet but have heard wonderful things). If this is a tad beyond your budget for a discovery set, they also offer smaller vials in the My Wardrobe Set ($230).
Beauty Exclusives – Skincare
For skincare, I picked up the La Mer Most Loved Minis Set ($98) because I adore these for weekend travel. I have many products I’m currently using, so I didn’t grab any additional sets. I suspect many of these value sets will return for the holidays as well. Augustinus Bader is another favorite, presenting The Cream and The Rich Cream at discounted rates during the sale along with some other sets.
Misc
I opted out of shoes and clothing this year. I had several items on my list, but after inspecting them in-store, I decided to wait for now. They always showcase an impressive selection of Barefoot Dreams, which I love, but I’ve chosen to hold off for now. I do have my eyes on this CozyChic Ribbed Cardigan – it seems perfect for winter! I was pleasantly surprised to discover Away Luggage at Nordstrom, though! They have a few items on sale in limited-edition colors, including the Featherweight Weekend Bag, Mini Crossbody, and several suitcase sizes.
