If you’re looking for a statement style, this season’s catwalks featured geometric shapes, exaggerated cat-eye silhouettes, and the use of unexpected materials like wood and recycled plastics, so if you want to turn heads this S/S, opt for something bold. Neon pinks and electric blue were also utilised for new season collections, so look outside of the usual black and tortoiseshell if you want to add a splash of colour to your look.

The latest Paris season saw a host of celebrity inspiration when it comes to star shades. Heart Evangelista’s classic Saint Laurent cat eyes will never fall out of fashion, and Jared Leto’s Givenchy shades showed that statement branding is very much back in favour. Gigi Hadid, Miranda Kerr, and Winnie Harlow all opted for retro shapes, while Pharrell Williams’ custom-designed mini diamond-encrusted Tiffany & Co. sunglasses redefined ‘statement style’.
