On a recent trip to London, I observed a new phenomenon: coffee shops from various global locations are now opening their doors in London (more details on that in my upcoming post, God willing). We have already seen some restaurants from Dubai, such as Kinoya, The Maine, Shangai Me, Gaia, and Somewhere, establishing themselves in London’s prestigious areas.
Not wanting to be left behind, Voyage from Dubai Mall has launched a location in London – conveniently located near the renowned Harrods store in Knightsbridge, adjacent to the Binghatti showroom.
Upon our arrival, we encountered a line – which, if you’re unaware, is quite rare in London, unless at an Instagram-famous foodie spot; however, most individuals in line were from the Middle East, which reflects common scenes in Riyadh. Still, for our friends, it felt peculiar. After approximately 30 minutes of waiting, we were finally allowed in, all seven of us.
The venue is quite expansive for a café in London, and I believe they have yet to fully capitalize on the interior space; there might be seating available downstairs soon.
The decor is reminiscent of the Dubai Mall location – featuring orange clay and lounge-style seating. Their menu, while leaning towards trendy beverages (like matcha, etc.), also includes specialty coffee and pour-over options, along with a variety of delectable cakes.
The pistachio flavor is a must-try – it was delightful, and we ordered three!
I opted for a cortado, made with Colombian coffee beans.
I appreciated its robust flavor.
Their brew bar mirrors that of the one in Dubai, featuring a Kees van der Westen espresso machine, along with a selection of cakes and coffee beans for you to sample the aromas.
After two hours of reconnecting, we strolled over to the Binghatti showroom (one of Dubai’s leading real estate developers) and had a brief conversation with one of the sales representatives about the Mercedes building currently under construction by Binghatti in Dubai.
