During my recent trip to London, I observed a growing trend where coffee shops from various global locations are now launching in London (more on this in my upcoming post, God willing). We’ve already seen some restaurants from Dubai, like Kinoya, The Maine, Shanghai Me, Gaia, and Somewhere, making their debut in London’s distinguished areas.
Not to be outdone, Voyage from Dubai Mall has now established itself in London – conveniently located near Harrods in the Knightsbridge area, adjacent to the Binghatti showroom.
Upon our arrival, we encountered a queue – which, if you’re unfamiliar, is quite rare in London, unless it’s an Instagram-worthy foodie hotspot; however, most of the people in line were from the Middle East, a common sight in Riyadh, though oddly unusual for our friends. After approximately 30 minutes of waiting, we were finally allowed in, all seven of us.
The café offers a spacious environment for a place in London, and I believe they still have room to optimize their interior, and they may add seating downstairs shortly.
The interior design mirrors that of the Dubai Mall – featuring orange clay elements with lounge-style seating, and while their menu leans towards trendy beverages (like matcha), it also includes specialty coffee and pour-over options, alongside a delicious array of cakes.
You must try the pistachio cake – it was delightful, and we ended up ordering three.
I chose a cortado made with Colombian coffee beans.
I appreciated its bold flavor.
Their brewing station is similar to the one in Dubai, featuring a Kees van der Westen espresso machine, complete with a selection of cakes and coffee beans for experiencing their aromas.
After catching up for two hours, we strolled over to the Binghatti showroom (one of Dubai’s leading real estate developers) and had a brief discussion with one of the sales representatives regarding the Mercedes building being constructed by Binghatti in Dubai.
