Toby’s Professional Guidance for Achieving Restaurant Triumph

Toby's Professional Guidance for Achieving Restaurant Triumph

Yesterday evening, Toby and I visited a local diner…

As we took our seats, he requested his new favorite drink: a Roy Rogers, which is really just a Shirley Temple but swapped with Coke instead of Sprite.

“A Roy Rogers feels way more thrilling than a Shirley Temple,” Toby mentioned as we settled down. “You completely taste the cherry yet it’s also Coke-like. It’s like being in Top Gun: Maverick. My top bartender is the one at Musso & Frank in L.A., where I went with my father. We sat at the bar and watched various drinks being made. The bartender resembles the one from The Shining. It also had a horror movie vibe due to the dim lighting.”

Not everyone recognizes the drink off-hand, Toby cautions: “It’s an older beverage, so servers might not recognize it. I’ll then explain it — grenadine with Coke. In the 1980s, I’d simply ask for a Roy Rogers.” Also, the mocktail is more suitable for young teens. “If you’re at a laid-back eatery, just go for a Sprite or something similar. But if you’re at Musso & Frank or a high-end spot, absolutely choose a Roy Rogers.”

Several more snapshots…as every teen photo becomes a shoot lol.
