Westman Atelier has unveiled a new cream bronzing duo named the Sun Tone Bronzing Creme ($75 each), accompanied by a Blender Brush II ($85) tailored specifically for this formula. I’ve been experimenting with this for over a month now and can confidently say this is the bronzer I’ve been using the most these past few weeks. Available at Westman Atelier, Nordstrom, Credo Beauty, Sephora.
Currently, there are four shade options available. I purchased Soleil Parfait 1 and 2. The shade charts suggested 2 for me, but after swatching in-store, I opted to try multiple shades. For her Vital Skin Foundation Stick, I still switch between V, VI, and VII – at the moment, I am between V and VI (constantly between foundation shades!).
This is a moisturizing cream bronzer that features a lovely satin finish, allowing it to glide on the skin beautifully without that dewy effect (which I prefer). The formula is incredibly easy to blend, and while I really appreciate the Blender II Brush, I believe any brush will suffice. I typically favor the Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow Foundation Brush or the Fenty Brush 195 for applying cheek products.
I know many of you have really enjoyed the Sun Tone Bronzing Drops. I have this in Soleil Parfait 2, and while I like them, they aren’t always the simplest for me to blend. I find the Crème Duos much easier to work with; they blend more smoothly, and I prefer the solid cream compact style.
Soleil Parfait 1 has a more neutral/cool pull but still brings warmth to the skin.
Soleil Parfait 2 is a darker and warmer variation.
I am just starting to get my summer tan back, so while I’ve been reaching for Shade 1 over the past month, I anticipate starting to use Shade 2 soon. If you’re my skin twin, I believe either option will work well for you.
Swatches next to several other cream bronzers (note that my arm is significantly lighter/cooler than my face). I was quite surprised by how warm some other bronzers appear compared to the Westman Atelier selections.
Linking reviews for the other options swatched:
Overall, I’m in love with this product, and I believe it’s worth the investment. I still consider the Dior Bronzer stick to be a close tie in terms of blendability and exceptional formula, but they are scented, and I know many of you prefer fragrance-free face products.
I also have the new Sarah Creal Just Like Paradise Bronzer Shade 2.5, Summer Fridays Bronzer Butter Balm, and something new from Refy to test/compare. So if you’re contemplating between all the new launches this year, I’ll have a few more I’ll be trying shortly.
You can find the Westman Atelier Sun Tone Bronzing Creme available at Westman Atelier, Nordstrom, Credo Beauty, Sephora.
