Hourglass has introduced a fresh matte lip formula named the Phantom Blur Balm ($38 each) along with shade extensions for their Shape and Sculpt Lip Liners ($29 each). They provided the new products for review, and I believe several shades are definitely worth exploring.
Phantom Blur Balm
I’m happy to share that the Phantom Blur Balms are incredibly smooth on the lips, and personally, they don’t accentuate lines. The colors did darken slightly on my lips, but I find the tones on the majority of the shades smooth and perfect for everyday use. I’m not always an advocate for matte or velvet lip formulas, but the Blur formula and colors are definitely stunning. While I’m a gloss enthusiast at heart, I still lean towards the Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balms for that lush glossy finish.

They don’t appear to offer the same volumizing effect as the glossy variant, yet perplexingly, the blurred matte finish gives my lips a full appearance. The coverage is medium but buildable. They feel weightless on the lips, almost like a light, airy whipped texture but in a balm format.
I experimented with these over the lip liners, which certainly prolong the wear as the pencils are very long-lasting.
Shape and Sculpt Lip Liner (New Shades)
When the Shape and Sculpt Lip Pencils first came out, I wasn’t impressed with the shades I’d purchased (review here). I have naturally darker pigmented lips, and most lip pencils typically don’t show up well on me. Additionally, the shades I initially chose were all quite warm, so I’m delighted to see several more neutral options. These lip liners boast ultra long wear.
