They introduced a featherweight matte lipstick named the Signature Lip Blush ($28 each, available at Sephora and Merit). This product features a sheer minimalist formulation with a softly blurred matte finish. The consistency is incredibly light, as claimed, yet it retains a balmy sensation.
During the holiday season, they released Archival in a set (you can see it reviewed here and in action here) and have recently added 7 additional shades to their collection.
I received two shades in PR: Andie, which is the loveliest baby pink, and Vendome, a gorgeous beige tan. I adore both colors and believe they’re perfect for everyday use. I still really enjoy Archival as a lovely mauve that leans cool-toned without looking overly blue. I styled each lip with the Merit Flush Balm Cream in Le BonBon.

However, there are a few drawbacks. If you prefer intense color payoff or extended wear, these lipsticks may not meet your needs. The pigmentation of the shades I tried leans sheer, and while you can layer them for added coverage, they still appear quite sheer. It reminds me of a blotted lip stain but with sheerness. The staying power isn’t optimal for me, although I haven’t tested them over a lip liner. I suspect this is related to the balmy texture. It’s not a major issue for me, but I wanted to highlight it since many of you seek products that are long-wearing and might require just 1-2 touch-ups during the day.
For a matte lip, I generally prefer something with fuller coverage, yet I really like the shades I’ve tried. The formulation is very comfortable and easy to apply. I also appreciate that it offers some hydration, ensuring my lips remain moisturized.
