I’m catching up on some fabulous launches from Natasha Denona! She released some stunning products this year, and although I shared a few quick highlights on Instagram, I wanted to elaborate with additional insights and swatch comparisons here.
Tan Eyeshadow Palette
The Tan Eyeshadow Palette ($72) is the ultimate dream palette for me! These are precisely the shades I want to use every single day. It features a breathtaking blend of soft beige hues, bronze taupes, shimmering toppers, and deep browns. I’ve been using this for nearly a month now, and it’s the palette I reach for EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Many of you requested swatches alongside I Need a Warm and her Glam Palette. I have comparisons below. I Need a Warm definitely has a warmer undertone, but what surprises me is that on my medium tan skin tone, I don’t perceive it as warm. It actually appears neutral on my complexion. In comparison, Tan is noticeably more neutral, almost leaning cool-toned on me. Many of you also asked for a comparison with her classic Glam palette, which I’ve always found to pull quite cool-toned on my skin.
Tan vs I Need a Warm
Tan vs Glam
This year, my top two palettes have been the Natasha Denona Tan and the YSL Nude Hours, which I was really disappointed to find out is limited-edition. I purchased it upon release, and it sold out before I had the chance to review or swatch it, but I genuinely hope they bring it back.
If you prefer a more concise version, I also adore the YSL Couture Mini Clutch in 710 Over Brun and recently bought the 310 Exotic Mirage to test. But just a quick note: the YSL quads are priced at $69 each for 5 g, whereas the Natasha Denona Palette is $72 for 17.75g, offering more variety.
Hy-Gloss Launch
Earlier this spring, Natasha Denona introduced her Hy-Gloss Tinted Lip Gloss Balm ($28 each) alongside matching Lip Liners ($25 each) and two new shades of Hy-Blush Duos ($42).
The Hy-Gloss was recalled due to a problem with the scent in the formula. According to their PR team, “Our signature vanilla scent was compromised during production due to overworking the bulk, resulting in an unintended burnt scent.” Therefore, the affected shades were recalled. They have since resolved the issue, although I personally didn’t detect any unusual odor in them.
The Hy-Gloss features a thick, cushiony gloss formula that feels incredibly luxurious on the lips. While it isn’t overly tacky or sticky, it does have a thicker consistency. I genuinely enjoy the formula, and the shades are gorgeous.
Below are side-by-side swatches of the gloss with her suggested pencil pairings. I believe her Lip Pencils are highly underrated. They’re creamy, glide effortlessly on the lips, and once they set, they are SUPER long-lasting.
She also introduced two new Hy-Blush shades, Lush Lila, which is a strikingly beautiful unique lilac duo, and Nude Muse, which is the most ideal nude combination. Each duo includes a cream highlighter and a cream blush. While I truly love these, they don’t hold up well in hot summer months due to their dewy and creamy textures. I can extend the wear by setting with powder, and they’ll last nicely through a date night or dinner. However, if you live in a humid or hot climate, these will appear extra dewy within a few hours.
All in all, the Tan Eyeshadow Palette is a definite success for me. I love the neutral colors, and after extensively using this, I can confidently say that I have tried every shade in the palette, and each one performs exceptionally well.
You can find these available now at Sephora, Kohl’s, Revolve, and Natasha Denona.
