“I attended business school, then ventured into market research, but digital media always intrigued me. I was involved in morning news in high school and the college TV studio and took a course on podcast production. When the pandemic hit, with extra time on my hands, my friend Brooke needed a podcast producer. So, I started it as a hobby.”

“Knitting was a beloved hobby of my mom, who taught my elder sisters. She passed when I was two, but my sister later taught me knitting in elementary school. For years, I set aside the needles. But upon relocating to D.C. post-college, without friends, I embraced knitting once more. Losing a parent as a child means missed experiences with them. Yet knitting brings me closer to my mom.”
“Since rekindling my love for knitting, I’ve realized the most effective way to acquire the clothes I desire is to create them. The going-out top was my inaugural creation, with the pattern sourced from TikTok.”

“As a child, reading was my passion, so much so that librarians allowed me to borrow 10 books instead of three. I devoured them, sleeping and waking to read. I also hosted a monthly social reading event at Shanklin Hall, a Black-owned bar. Attendees brought books, and we’d engage in discussions, or sometimes, everyone in the bar would just be engrossed in reading. We had a blast.”
“My motive is simple: I wish to connect with others over books much like we do with reality TV. Often, the book’s content is equally wild! My top three book club selections are My Sister, the Serial Killer, The Office of Historical Corrections, and Homegoing. They’re my undeniable favorites.”
