During my recent trip to London, I observed a notable trend: coffee shops from various parts of the globe are now establishing themselves in London (more details to follow in my upcoming post, God willing). We have already seen some restaurants from Dubai, such as Kinoya, The Maine, Shangai Me, Gaia, and Somewhere, opening in London’s esteemed neighbourhoods.
To keep up with the trend, Voyage, located in Dubai Mall, has now made its debut in London – conveniently situated near the famous Harrods in Knightsbridge, adjacent to the Binghatti showroom.
Upon our arrival, we encountered a queue – which, if you’re not aware, is quite rare in London, unless at a trendy Instagram-worthy eatery; however, the majority of those in line were from the Middle East, which is typical in Riyadh. Still, this was unusual for our friends. After approximately 30 minutes of waiting, we were finally admitted, all 7 of us.
The café is considerably spacious for a London establishment, and I suspect they have yet to fully utilize the interior space, possibly adding seating downstairs in the near future.
The interior decoration resembles that of the Dubai Mall location – featuring orange clay hues paired with lounge-style seating, while the menu leans towards trendy beverages (matcha, etc.), it does offer specialty coffee and pour-over options alongside a wide selection of delectable cakes.
Do try the pistachio – it was delightful, and we ended up ordering three.
I opted for a cortado made with Colombian coffee beans.
I appreciated that it had a bit of a kick to it.
Their brew bar is reminiscent of the one found in Dubai, featuring a Kees van der Westen espresso machine, and they also have a display of cakes and coffee beans for you to sniff as well.
After two hours of catching up, we strolled over to the Binghatti showroom (one of Dubai’s premier real estate developers) and had a brief conversation with one of the sales representatives, discussing the Mercedes building that Binghatti is constructing in Dubai.
