Westman Atelier has recently unveiled an array of new products, and today I’m sharing a roundup of my testing experience!
Baby Cheeks New Shade – Fizz
Westman Atelier frequently introduces exclusive products on her website, and the latest offering is the Baby Cheeks Cream Blush Stick in Fizz ($48). I provided a brief demo last week, and it’s already sold out, but I hope it will return soon. Fizz is a vivid warm pink. While it shares brightness with Poppet, the new Fizz shade has a warmer hue and is slightly more vibrant, making it more suitable for my golden/olive skin tone.
It blends beautifully for a subtle flush. Color-wise, I find it comparable to Saie’s Dew Blush in Flirty and Rhode Pocket Blush in Juice Box (review here). It was also swatched alongside Hourglass Unreal Liquid Blush in Whim (review here), Prada Touch Blush in Tulip (demo here, review coming soon), Dior Rosy Glow Blush Stick in Ultra Pink (review here), Saie Dew Blush in Flirty, and Merit Blush Balm in Le Bonbon (in action here).
The performance aligns with all of Westman Atelier’s Baby Cheeks formulas. While super long wear may not be attainable in humid climates or on oily skin, it does adhere better when a powder is layered over it. I believe this formulation works wonderfully for those with dry skin.
HydroBalm Sheer Tinted Lipstick
I am a fan of lip balm launches, so I was thrilled to test out her HydroBalm Sheer Tinted Lipsticks ($50 each). I found these a tad too sheer for my liking, but I also suspect I chose a few shades that didn’t complement my skin/lip tone. I ordered them without seeing them in person, and although the formula is lovely, some shades appeared too cool-toned and light for me.
I shared swatches on Instagram and provided a mini review here. I was astonished to learn that SO MANY of you enjoy this type of barely-there tint for your lip color! I shared my thoughts in my review, and I was surprised by the volume of DMs I received expressing your appreciation for these.
I do enjoy Pop and Juice. The pinks I selected are genuine neutrals, but these types of neutrals seem to take on a greyish or blue tone against my complexion. If you’re fair or light-skinned and find it hard to discover suitable colors, I believe you’ll find luck with Westman Atelier’s HydroBalm line!
Nectar is a sheer shimmery pale peach gold.
Juice is a sheer peach.
Ballerine is a cool mauve pink.
Pop is a sheer red.
English Rose is a mauve.
Lip Shape Defining Lip Liner
I also have swatches of the Lip Shape Defining Lip Liners ($34). I really like this formula because it’s a classic pencil that isn’t overly stiff but also isn’t creamy or gel-like. Sometimes, I just want a traditional pencil to outline my lips. These glide on smoothly and have impressive lasting power.
Petal is my favorite of the shades I tried, followed closely by Je Reve. In my experience, the shades lean more neutral or cool on me compared to what is seen in the online stock images. I didn’t perform lip swatches of these, but you can view Petal here.
Overall, some beautiful new releases from Westman Atelier. The formulas are outstanding, and performance is rated 10/10. For the lip balms, I just wish they offered more pigment and had a few warmer pink options.
P.S. I recently picked up the Sun Tone Bronzing Crème in Soleil Parfait 2 during the Sephora sale. I’ll be swatching it soon!
