During my recent visit to London, I observed a burgeoning trend of coffee establishments from around the globe setting up shop in the city (more details in my upcoming post, if all goes well). We’ve already seen some restaurants from Dubai, such as Kinoya, The Maine, Shangai Me, Gaia, and Somewhere, making their mark in London’s esteemed areas.
Not wanting to fall behind, Voyage, from Dubai Mall, has now launched in London – conveniently located near the iconic Harrods in Knightsbridge, adjacent to the Binghatti showroom.
Upon our arrival, we encountered a line – which, if you’re unfamiliar, is quite rare in London, unless it’s a trendy foodie hotspot on Instagram, but most of those waiting were from the Middle East, typical in Riyadh. Nevertheless, for our friends, it felt unusual. After approximately 30 minutes of waiting, we were granted entry, all seven of us.
It’s quite a spacious venue for a café in London, and I believe they have yet to fully utilize the interior space; I suspect they’ll be adding seating downstairs shortly.
The interior design resembles that of the Dubai Mall location – featuring orange clay and lounge-style seating, and although their menu leans more towards trendy beverages (matcha, etc.), it also offers specialty coffee and pour-over options, alongside an array of delicious cakes.
You must try the pistachio – it was delightful and we ended up ordering three.
I opted for a cortado, made with Colombian coffee beans.
I appreciated that it had a robust flavor.
Their brew bar is akin to the one in Dubai, featuring a Kees van der Westen espresso machine, along with a display of cakes and coffee beans for you to enjoy the aroma.
After two hours of reconnecting, we strolled over to the Binghatti (a leading real estate developer from Dubai) showroom for a brief conversation with one of the sales representatives, discussing the Mercedes building that Binghatti is developing in Dubai.
