I’m getting up to speed with some Natasha Denona releases! She introduced some gorgeous items this year, and while I did a few quick highlights on Instagram, I wanted to share some additional thoughts and more swatch comparisons here.
Tan Eyeshadow Palette
The Tan Eyeshadow Palette ($72) is my ideal palette made real! These are the precise shades I want to don every single day. It features a stunning assortment of soft beige hues, bronze taupes, shimmering toppers, and deep browns. I’ve been using this nearly every day for a month, and it’s my go-to EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Many of you requested swatches alongside I Need a Warm and her Glam Palette. I’ve placed them side by side below. I Need a Warm is certainly much warmer in undertone, but I am surprised that on my medium tan complexion, I don’t perceive it as warm. Instead, it appears neutral on my skin. In comparison, Tan is noticeably more neutral, almost leaning cool-toned on me. Quite a few of you asked for a comparison to her classic Glam palette, which I always found to be very cool-toned on me.

This year my top two palettes have been the Natasha Denona Tan and YSL Nude Hours, which I was really disappointed to learn is limited-edition. I purchased it during its launch, and it sold out before I could even get a chance to review/swatch it, but I truly hope they bring it back.
If you’re looking for a more streamlined, compact version, I also love the YSL Couture Mini Clutch in 710 Over Brun and just picked up the 310 Exotic Mirage to try. Quick note: the YSL quads are $69 each for 5 g while the Natasha Denona Palette is $72 for 17.75g and offers more diversity.
Hy-Gloss Launch
Earlier this spring, Natasha Denona released her Hy-Gloss Tinted Lip Gloss Balm ($28 each) alongside matching Lip Liners ($25 each) and two new Hy-Blush Duo shades ($42).
The Hy-Gloss was recalled due to a problem with the scent in the formula. As stated by their PR team, “Our signature vanilla scent was impacted during production when the bulk was overworked, resulting in a burnt odor that wasn’t intended.” Consequently, they recalled the affected shades. They’ve since resolved the issue, although I didn’t notice any unpleasant smell in them.
The Hy-Gloss boasts a thick, cushiony gloss formula that feels incredibly luxurious on the lips. While I didn’t find it overly tacky or sticky, it leans towards the thicker side. I absolutely adore the formula, and the shades are stunning.
Below are side-by-side swatches of the gloss and her suggested pencil pairings. I believe her Lip Pencils are vastly underrated. They’re creamy, glide smoothly on the lips, and once set, they are EXTREMELY long-lasting.
She also introduced two new Hy-Blush shades: Lush Lila, a truly beautiful and unique lilac duo, and Nude Muse, which is the perfect nude combination. Each duo includes a cream highlighter and a cream blush. While I truly love these, they are not very long-lasting in hot summer months since they are dewy and creamy. I can extend their wear by setting them with powder, and they will last well through a date night or dinner out. However, if you live in a humid or hot area, these will appear extra dewy after a few hours.
Overall, the Tan Eyeshadow Palette is a definite win for me. I adore the neutral tones, and after extensive use, I can confidently say that I’ve used every shade in the palette, all of which perform exceptionally well.
