Dior has unveiled fresh hues in their Backstage Makeup Collection, and I believe each shade deserves a perfect score. There are four newly introduced complementary shades in the Addict Lip Glow Butter ($42), Backstage Rosy Glow Blush Stick ($44), and Backstage Rosy Glow Blush ($42). These new shades are available now at Dior.com and Sephora.
A new Backstage Glassy Glow Stick ($44) has also been released, which I am skipping for the moment – but if you have tried it, share your opinions!
Each formula now features four new shades:
- 106 Pomelo is a gentle soft peachy pink
- 107 Dragonfruit is a soft mauve pink lilac
- 108 Guava is a vivid bright warm pink
- 109 Goji is a berry with brown undertones
Addict Lip Glow Butter
The Addict Lip Glow Butters are stunning in these new shades. I maintain that the formula, pigment, and color of this gloss are exceptional, although I do wish they would provide a larger quantity for the price.
Among the four shades, Guava is my favorite. The lighter shades appear quite sheer on me, and I often have to remind readers or new followers that I have naturally darker pigmented lips, so many sheer or lighter tones look strikingly different on me.
Backstage Rosy Glow Blush Stick
The Backstage Rosy Glow Blush Sticks are intensely bold and bright upon application straight from the tube, but if you’ve experimented with this formula before, you know it sheers out to a softer finish when blended. These products are balmy and luminous with minimal drying. They maintain a dewy appearance, and among all the dewy cream blushes, this one is my top choice.
I typically set with a powder blush over it to prolong wear. I’ve also noticed that the cream blush sticks enhance the pigmentation of certain powders. Many of you have requested swatch comparisons, so here they are in the stick format.
Backstage Rosy Glow Blush (Powder)
I favor the Backstage Rosy Glow Blush formula over the Blush Stick for its longevity. The colors are buildable, allowing for a more subtle cheek look or a more intense finish with layering. While the Powder and Stick colors are similar, they aren’t exactly the same, primarily due to the difference in color payoff and slightly varied undertones.
I genuinely adore every shade in the powder formula. The subtle shimmer provides a lovely glow.
