The Rhode Summer Collection 2026 has arrived, and it has surpassed all my expectations. I ordered it on launch day, and while it took several weeks to arrive, I must say it was worth the wait. I picked up a little bit of everything, and if you’re trying to choose the ideal bronzer shade for yourself, I have swatched four of them along with numerous comparisons below. Just a quick note: I have a tan now that summer has come – I’m no longer mixing shades and can wear the Dior Forever Perfect Foundation Stick in 3N or 3WO without needing to mix in the 2.5. I’m still a Chanel Les Beiges BD41.
Pocket Bronze
The Rhode Pocket Bronze ($25 each) genuinely caught me off guard because I didn’t anticipate liking them more than Dior or Westman Atelier (particularly for cream formulas). While I still find the other two formulas to be excellent, the Rhode Pocket Bronze is the simplest to apply and blend into the skin. It’s creamy and creates a very natural bronze look.
In terms of formula comparison, Rhode is the creamiest, Dior offers a satin finish, and Westman Atelier falls somewhere in between. I believe the main challenge with bronzer is selecting the right undertone for you. Many of you prefer neutral or cool tones, while I generally gravitate towards warmer shades. In this launch, I was surprised to see that the most golden shade ended up looking quite yellow on my skin.
If you’re my skin twin, here’s how the four shades I purchased compare. I am also wearing the Dior Forever Skin Perfect Foundation in 3WO, Natasha Denona Tan Palette, Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Brown, Merit Tubing Mascara, Aritzia Halter Tank, and my nail polish is Essie Geranium. My hoop earrings are from Mejuri.
Pebble – the most neutral undertone
Sip – warm golden, but appears slightly yellow on my skin
Sunbed – my ideal summer bronze (my favorite)
Bake – warm reddish undertones for that sun-kissed effect
Keep in mind that I currently have a tan! I am likely at least 1.5 shades darker than my usual tone. Nevertheless, I still think Sunbed would be my choice even with my winter skin tone.

The Pocket Double Sided Brush ($25) is an excellent tool that blends the cream beautifully. I still have mixed feelings regarding double-ended brushes because of the storage issue. This type requires flat storage on a counter to avoid messing up the bristles.
Highlight Milk – Luminizer
I am also enjoying the Highlight Milk Luminizer ($28). I have always been a fan of the regular version, and I believe this highlighter variation is a valuable addition to the Rhode lineup. It has a very lightweight fluid texture, and the shimmer appears very natural. It’s not thick or greasy; it truly is the most natural of the luminizers/mixers I’ve tried. For a quick texture comparison, L’Oreal Glotion is thicker and more shimmery, while Armani Fluid Sheers is more sheer and slightly more emollient, and Saie Super Gel has a completely distinct texture.
I’ve tested all four shades, and my favorites are Shade 01 and Shade 02. Shade 03 provides my skin with a tanned glow that is slightly too dark for me, while Shade 04 is definitely too deep for my current skin tone. These can be applied all over the face, or mixed with moisturizer or foundation. My preferred method is mixing it in with foundation. The finish is naturally radiant and glowy without looking frosty or overly sparkly.
Peptide Lip Tint
Additionally, I couldn’t resist the limited-edition Peptide Lip Tint ($20) shades. At the moment, they appear to be exclusive to Rhode and sold out extremely quickly. Every color is a beautiful variation of a perfect tan nude. I’m really hoping Rhode will restock them or considers making them permanent. It’s disheartening to fall in love with a limited-edition product.
