Last summer, my brother Nick and cousin Jimmy traveled from England to visit us in Brooklyn — and this summer, they came again! We were thrilled to have their company. Here are some snapshots from a thrilling week…
Toby was away with his father, so Jimmy and Anton took the reins of the itinerary. They opted to see the Friends building, played soccer in Central Park, and ate their weight in Walkers crisps.
Following a few days in New York, we decided to venture to my friend Sharon’s house in Connecticut. I was eager to see her, and the boys were eager to enjoy her pool. Also, how STUNNING is her garden??? “I want to provide my neighbors an experience,” she chortles.
The boys swam and bounced on the trampoline…
…absolutely devoured this snack plate…
…and engaged in some shenanigans.
Jimmy tasted his first oyster, which he declared “tastes like the ocean” and “isn’t too bad.”
And Sharon and I enjoyed a game of Rummikub, which is such an enjoyable game.
Finally, we all returned home…
…and I got a peaceful couch to myself to watch Love Is Blind. It was such a lively, humorous, delightful week, and we miss them already. xoxo
