Refy has introduced new cheek products featuring one of the most groundbreaking formulas I’ve encountered this year. I got an early sneak peek of this a month back and I’m excited to finally share it!
They have just released their new Water Bronzer ($30) and Water Blush ($24) in a cushion format, which I believe offers a completely fresh approach to blush and bronzer, setting it apart from anything else currently in my collection. They also launched their Duo Brush 2.0 for Liquid Blush and Bronzer ($26) to accompany this release.
Inspired by K-beauty cushion technology and produced in South Korea, these formulas are presented in a cushion compact that delivers sheer yet buildable color with a fresh, skin-like finish. These are water-infused color cushions embedded in a sponge, which actually makes for easier application compared to a pump dispenser format.
I find the tones to be gorgeous. I hope they will eventually broaden the shade range to include more blush colors, as the existing ones are all so beautiful.

Water Bronzer
Nowadays, it’s uncommon for a new bronzer formula to genuinely thrill me. Many of you have asked for bronzer suggestions over the years, and until recently, there haven’t been many that really caught my attention. For a long time, I relied on my tried-and-true from Chanel (which I still adore, but sadly was discontinued). However, this year, several brands have rolled out formulas that feel genuinely innovative.
I particularly loved the recent bronzer releases from Dior and Westman Atelier. Both brought something distinctive to a category that can often feel oversaturated. The Dior formula impresses me with its remarkable wear time, while the Westman Atelier bronzer offers one of the finest dry-downs I’ve experienced in a cream formula.
The new Refy Water Bronzer is another product that has secured a place on that exclusive list. The formula feels fresh and different from what’s currently available, and the finish it provides on the skin is simply stunning.
- Bay is a light warm golden bronze
- Cove is a cool neutral bronze
- Sol is a reddish bronze
- Palm is a deep bronze
- Selene is the deepest bronze
I can wear the lightest three shades. My favorite is likely Cove, even though it appears more neutral-cool on me. I also really enjoy the other two. Bay offers the perfect golden bronze, and Cove delivers that slightly sunburnt bronzed effect.
Water Blush
The Water Blush shades surprised me because, despite the intensity of color visible in the compact, they apply quite sheer on the cheeks. You can layer for additional pigment, but I am really appreciating how they resemble watercolors for the cheeks.

- Lychee is a lively healthy pink
- Acai is the perfect berry
I am genuinely surprised by how controllable these are. The color seamlessly blends with the skin and can be layered from a soft wash to something more sculpted and vibrant. The new Refy Duo Brush 02 is also amazing and simplifies application, though I believe you can use any brush from your collection to apply the products. However, I would definitely advise using a clean brush to avoid contaminating the compact sponge with other colors.
Skin Base
I also wanted to quickly mention the Refy Skin Base ($40). Many of you were very enthusiastic about this gel skin tint. I tested the shade 170N and have it in action here. It’s a very sheer, natural-looking skin tint. There is noticeable coverage, but it provides a barely there finish. It feels gel-like but has a balmy texture to me. It feels denser compared to some other skin tints like those from Lisa Eldridge or Summer Fridays. This one blends best with a sponge for me. Since the coverage looks so natural, you will likely still need some concealer, and if you have combination skin or reside in a humid area, you will definitely need to set it with a powder.
I rate it an 8.5 out of 10 stars. It’s an excellent product for a skin tint, but I prefer something with a bit more coverage like the It Cosmetics CC+ Nude Glow or the Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint.
