Westman Atelier has introduced a new cream bronzing duo called the Sun Tone Bronzing Crème ($75 each), along with a Blender Brush II ($85) specifically crafted for this formula. I’ve been experimenting with this for over a month now and can confidently say that this is the bronzer I’ve been using the most in recent weeks. Currently, there are four shade selections available. I purchased Soleil Parfait 1 and 2. The shade charts suggested 2 for my skin tone, but after testing in the store, I opted for multiple shades. For her Vital Skin Foundation Stick, I still switch between V, VI, and VII – at the moment, I am between V and VI (always caught between foundation shades!).
This is a hydrating cream bronzer that features a lovely satin finish, allowing it to glide smoothly on the skin while avoiding that dewy finish (which I prefer). The formula is very blendable, and while I absolutely love the Blender II Brush, I believe any brush will suffice. Typically, I enjoy using the Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow Foundation Brush or Fenty Brush 195 for applying cheek products.
Many of you have really enjoyed the Sun Tone Bronzing Drops. I have this in Soleil Parfait 2, and while I do like them, they can be a bit challenging to blend. I find the Crème Duos much easier to work with, as they blend more effectively, and I appreciate the compact cream style more.
Soleil Parfait 1 leans more neutral/cool while still giving warmth to the skin.
Soleil Parfait 2 is a richer and warmer variation.
I’m just starting to regain my summer tan, so although I’ve been using Shade 1 for the past month, I believe I’ll switch to Shade 2 soon. If you have a similar skin tone to mine, I think either option would work well for you.
Swatches alongside a few other cream bronzers (note that my arm is significantly lighter/cooler than my face). I was quite surprised to discover how warm some other bronzers appear compared to the Westman Atelier options.
